Do I need to book a tour for the horseshoe bend or can we go by ourselves?
No tours - just park in the parking lot and walk about 3/4 of a mile to the bend area. Free to visit.
Like the other posts mentioned, no guided tour necessary. There are tour busses that stop at this venue with their tours but do not offer guided narration. Please use CAUTION near the edge of the cliff when viewing Horseshoe Bend. It is a beautiful view but also very precarious since there are no barriers on the overlook to prevent falls into the canyon below.
Go by yourself, for sure. It's just something you go look at - not something you need to be toured around!
Of course, a tour will handle transportation for you - but assuming you have a car, absolutely go yourself. Enjoy, and check out antelope canyon while you're in the area!
No tour...just a parking lot off the highway. It's free and easy to get to.
No tours are needed to view this, you can go by yourself.
In fact I don’t remember any tours in the area for Horseshoe bend.
