Commander's Palace Questions & Answers

I have a dairy allergy i.e. no butter, milk or cheese. Are there menu items that can be accommodated to avoid dairy? Will the Chef be able to accommodate for my dietary restriction?

Thank you for your time and attention.

I am not sure what their accommodations for menu changes are, however you could take a look at their menu it is posted on their website and then call ahead to ask and they would probably be able to make something that would meet your needs. It would be easier if they knew ahead of time. At Commanders Palace they sincerely want to make your experience special and look after your every need. They make notes when you call to make a reservation so they are aware of anniversaries, birthdays, etc so making a special non-dairy meal should be an easy option for them. Let me know how it goes! Enjoy NOLA!

Yes, of course, like most good restaurants they tll accommodate special needs and diets. If the menu does not lise dairy-free items, the waiter will be happy to tell you what is dairy-free, or have the chef create a dairy free dinner for you.. .

After asking us for our cocktail drink orders, the first thing our waiter [Miles] asked before serving our bread was if anyone has any food allergy. Based on that, I would think they would have additional or alternative offering.

I am planning to avoid the Commander's Palace and suggest (STRONGLY) that you do the same. They are certainly not prepared to give you any special, or even comfortable. service. There are so many other restaurants that are ready to serve you. Good luck. We love New Orleans, and we hope you will be able to do the same.

I'm honestly not sure. I would check with the restaurant directly. But based on the level of service I received, I believe they'd be very accommodating, especially with a little notice. The service at CP was in my Top 5, and I dine out often.
