What's a week cost for two anglers and how far from airport
about five minutes from airport. Not sure what a week would cost; phone Angling Unlimited for an accurate response since this would be a unique You would catch more than your trip limit in a week so you would have to catch and release for most of your fishingouting.
Contacting them directly is best but I don't think you will need a week worth of fishing to bring back 100-150 pounds of processed and fillet fish to the way you want it. I have fished 3 and 4 days and that was plenty to fill up my freezer.
I have tried other charters in Sitka and they are the best. You get a full day of fishing if needed catch your limits. The staff and accommodations are great. Plenty of time to relax and enjoy the beautiful setting.
It really matters is what kind of fish to you want? May to July is better for Kings and late July to closing is great for Silvers. You will always find Halibut and other species to add to your catch.
The packages are clearly posted and there are no hidden fees. Enjoy.
Best thing to do is to reach out directly to them. Kim will give you all the details.
In a nut shell, most people only fish for three days. The lodging is about 5 miles from the airport, but that's more or less irrelevant since they pick you up, give you a car to use and drop you back off.
Reach out to them on pricing, but in general you're looking at about $5,500 for two people all in for fishing and lodging. If you do compare with other outfits, keep in mind that all of the fish processing is included, and that can really add up if it's not part of the package.
Angling Unlimited is simply the best option for charter fishing in Sitka. I would not go for a week unless you like to play with your food (catch and release). Four days fishing is ample and if you go early in the season, you will fill your fish boxes with plenty of salmon. Don't disregard other species however. Black cod is truly the unsung hero of the depths. White buttery flesh that poaches or grills to perfection. The packages offered by Angling unlimited are very reasonable and include pick up and drop off at the airport, fish processing, and many other amenities. go to their website, or better yet call Kim (she's got an awesome accent :) and get the details. I promise you will be hooked (pun intended). Check in with me Jay Wilderness (Josh Carpenter) if you have any doubts. happy fishing!!!
