Menorca is one of the Spanish Balearic Islands in the Mediterranean sea. It is one of the less visited islands and has fantastic, not crowded beaches.
Some of the notable beaches are Cala en Turqueta, Cala Macarelleta, Cala Rafalet, Cala Pregonda and Son Bou.
The nightlife on Menorca is not as crazy as on Ibiza, but the bars are mostly located on the beaches and make for a wonderful hang out spot after sunset.
Menorca Airport (airport code MAH) is also referred to as Mahón Airport and lies approximately five kilometres outside of the centre of Mahón. The airport currently serves 13 scheduled service airlines and 12 charter airlines.
The majority of the airlines are low cost carriers, including EasyJet, TUIfly, Thomas Cook and Thomson Airways. These carriers fly to the most locations. Other low cost carriers include bmibaby, Flybe, Jet2, Monarch and Vueling.
Spanair flies to Barcelona and Madrid and offers the most frequent service of any carrier at Menorca Airport. Iberia offers the second most frequent service but only flies to Madrid. Monarch, Air Europa Lineas Aereas, Thomas Cook and Thomson Airways also offer service more frequent than the rest of the airlines at the airport.
