Flying to Fuerteventura

Fuerteventura, part of the Canary Islands, an autonomous community of Spain . It is the second largest island by area.

The island’s economy is focused on a mix of agriculture, fishing and tourism.

Visitors can spend time on the harbour in the capital of Fuerteventura, Puerto del Rosario. The Santa Maria Church in Betancuria also attracts many visitors.

The main reason most people travel to Fuerteventura is to go to the beach, however those looking to spend the day outside should also consider going on a hike through the Jandia Nature Reserve in Pajara.

The island of Fuerteventura is most easily reached by plane. The airport for the island is Fuerteventura Airport (airport code FUE). Puerto del Rosario is only five kilometres from the airport.
