Lanzarote is one of the Canary Islands which is, one of Spain’s autonomous regions off of the African coast.
The island is perfect for nature lovers, hikers, or anyone who likes being outside in general. The Timanfaya National Park features a post-volcanic eruption landscape and a restaurant that cooks food over the earth’s internal heat that is exposed to the air.
The Agricola Museum, Fundación César Manrique, and Cactus Garden are also interesting stops for visitors. Green’s Cave is a great underground adventure. On the other hand, if being above ground is preferred, the beaches on the island are gorgeous.
The island of Lanzarote has one airport, Lanzarote Airport (airport code ACE). The airport has approximately 30 airlines flying regular routes and five more airlines with scheduled but irregular flights into or out of Lanzarote.
Air Berlin, Ryanair, Thomas Cook and Thomson Airways fly to the most destinations of the airlines. Binter Canarias, Ryanair, Spanair, Monarch and Air Europa Lineas Airlines fly the most frequently of the airlines arriving to or leaving the island. Binter Canarias only flies to Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and Tenerife, but the other four airlines fly to many major Western European cities.
