Flying to Brisbane

Brisbane is the third largest city in Australia . It has a metropolitan population of over 2,000,000, making it the largest city in Queensland, of which it is the provincial capital.

One of the major tourist destinations of Brisbane is the CBD district, the shopping, entertainment, and historical centre of the city.

Adventure lovers should love Kangaroo Point and the Scenic Rim, two of the great hiking and rock climbing areas just outside of the city.

Less than a half hour from the centre of the city is the Manly Harbour which provides access to a network of islands and waterways great for day trips.

Brisbane Airport (Airport code BNE) is a hub for Jetstar Airways, Qantas, Virgin Blue, and Pacific Blue. It is the third busiest Australian airport, serving over 19,000,000 travellers a year. The airport serves over 35 airlines. Qantas fly the most frequently along with Australian Air Express, Virgin Atlantic, Virgin Blue, American, and Air New Zealand.

Brisbane Airport only has two terminals, one for domestic flights and one for international flights. Qantas and Virgin Blue operate flights to and from the most destinations, flying into and out of both the domestic and international terminals.
