  • If you have a room with a kitchen, you can save money by buying food at a grocery store in the village and cooking yourself.
  • Check the road conditions before driving out to the mountains.
  • It is customary to tip in restaurants — leave 15% to 25%, depending on how good you felt the service was.
  • You can get to Whistler by car, train, plane, or bus.

Before arriving in the main Whistler Village area, you'll pass many beautiful places along the Sea to Sky Highway. Make a pitstop to Brandywine Falls Provincial Park. A short walk on a nice trail will lead you to the magnificent 70-meter waterfall. Depending on how much time you have, you can have a picnic, go for a bike ride, do a hike, or try some snowshoeing.

One of the two main mountains in the area, Whistler Blackcomb offers loads of activities in the summer and winter. In the winter, you can start your day by whooshing down several of the 200 runs at the largest ski resort in North America. Come summer, you can take your pick from hiking, paddling, cycling, and other outdoor adventures.

    • If you're skiing or snowboarding, some of the runs have restaurants where you can enjoy a meal or a hot drink part way down the mountain.
    • If you are visiting Whistler Blackcomb for a short time, you can check out the different seasonal rates for passes.
    • The best times to visit are summer (between June and September), and winter (between December and March), when there is plenty of powder.
