Matthew H's City Tips

  • Traveling the island with IntercityBus Lanzarote is cheap, especially if you buy a Bono pass.
  • Don't wear flip flops to non-resort restaurants, although you can get away with a T-shirt over swimwear in the likes of Puerto del Carmen.
  • Tip up to 10% rather than above, especially in the non-tourist restaurants and only if you've received good service.
  • Regular bus service to out-of-the-way places is conspicuous by its absence. A hire car is recommended.
