I’m a Spanish girl living in London. Barcelona is my dream city, the place where to live in a near future. Until that time comes, I'm enjoying the opportunity London gives me to travel around the World. To me, every trip supposes an opportunity to discover a new culture, new people and a different way of living. As part of the HolaFoodie team, local cuisine is always an important part of my adventures. Don't forget to check holafoodie.com if you love food!

Historic Walking Areas, Neighbourhoods
This is my favorite spot in town - a Gothic church built centuries ago by neighborhood locals. Also known as La Catedral del Pueblo, the Basilica of Santa Maria del Mar is well worth a visit, whatever your religious beliefs. Its interior hides an intimate atmosphere where you and your loved one can take a quiet walk through history.
El Born is not only the trendiest neighborhood in town, but also one of Barcelona's most romantic areas. A walk through the fascinating atmosphere of its narrow streets and stunning buildings will transport you back to medieval times. The neighborhood is also a good place to go shopping for handicrafts and pick up truly unique mementos of your romantic break.
Hotel Miramar Barcelona's location is superb, and its bar and/or restaurant are well worth visiting for their impressive gin collection, amazing food and impressive views of Barcelona. It may be located a little away from the city center, but once you arrive you’re sure to fall in love with this romantic venue.
After a long day strolling around the city sights, you may well be in need of some relaxation. Located in El Born quarter, this intimate spa is a true hidden gem, with a romantic candle-lit atmosphere. Offering several different spa treatments (some of which even include a glass of champagne!). Aire de Barcelona is the perfect activity for couples in search of a serene experience.
This Gaudi-designed masterpiece is the most popular park in Barcelona. The dream-like world of Gaudi's imagination - where buildings, trees and columns create a truly unique atmosphere - is sure to make you feel all fluttery.
It's just about mandatory to visit the Sagrada Familia while in Barcelona. Designed by Gaudi, the building is still under construction, which is somehow part of the magic. It will be packed with tourists, but its incredible beauty should help you block out the crowds and see only each other (and this beloved architectural masterpiece).
Surrounded by modern hotels and restaurants, this urban beach is one of the most beautiful places in the city to soak up the sun. Although it’s normally packed, there is a lovely area close to Hotel W where you’ll always find enough space to lie down and relax.
No spot is more romantic in Barcelona than this stunning garden - the place locals often go to have their wedding pictures taken. Located a little outside the city center, Parc del Laberint d'Horta is the perfect place to get away from the tourist crowds and lose yourselves for a while.
Not long ago, Gracia was one of the most traditional Barcelona neighborhoods, and now it's the coolest area in the city! A walk through this area will reveal not only plenty of romantic spots to pause in, but a large variety of tiny shops, pop-up boutiques, patisseries and lovely restaurants to explore.
