Situated in Placa Reial (a lovely square full of restaurants and bars). This square is full of locals and tourists, with a great atmosphere. We ate here on our last night in Barcelona. The food was great quality and was relatively cheap. We sat outside, which added to the atmosphere from the square
Situated on las ramblas. Very busy but the service was still excellent. The food was great quality and was relatively cheap (even with a bottle of wine). Meal deals available. Asked for chicken to be added to risotto, could not honour this request.
We came here on our last night and was disappointed we couldn't come again! the place is excellent, it's got a lovely vintage style feel to the bar with all the staff in bow ties. We asked for a menu for the cocktails, which the waiter replied 'I am the menu' - Lovely traditional cocktail bar, just off las ramblas, full of locals and tourists. great atmosphere!! usual cocktails, (i.e. margaritas, old fashioned, mojitos etc) are available but can make cocktails of their own (to your taste)
Main street in Barcelona with plenty of shops, restaurants and bars along each side. Always filled with people, very busy. Must see!!
The beach of Barcelona, situated at the bottom of Las Ramblas. Excellent atmosphere here, full of locals rollerblading, cycling, running etc.. Lots of do here in terms of activities (or sunbath/swim if the weather is nice). Plenty of bars, restaurants here also. Nice walkway.
We came here to eat in one of the restaurants (mentioned above). the square is full of restaurants and bars. its full of locals and tourists, and has a great atmosphere.
We ate here on our first night. Its situated half way down the main road full of shops. vast menu with lots to choose from (plenty of fish dishes, meat dishes and vegetarian dishes).
Irish bar situated just on one of the side streets off las ramblas. The decor inside is excellent (see the photos I've added on the review, resembles an old church with stained glass and separating stair cases).
Il Cafe di francesco is a small chain of cafes that mainly sell hot drinks, sandwiches and traditional catalonian cakes. The staff are very helpful we asked them what they recommend and he brought a number of cakes for us all of them delicious our favourite was the churros. The coffee was nice and the prices were very cheap.
Lovely little quaint bar on one of the side streets off las ramblas. Very local feel, full of locals. has a restaurant option, also can order tapas from the bar
The hotel is 4*s, in a good location (close to las ramblas, Passeig de Gracia & could walk to la sagrada familia in about 20 minutes). Good transportation links. Hotel has lots of extras, including DVD player, iPod docking station and room service options. has a gym, pool, sauna etc... hotel is clean, with friendly staff and great location. However, can be noisy
Standard brewery type bar near port vell/beach. similar to a brew dog (UK). lots of beers available, including strawberry flavoured beer called 'pink lady'
Port vell is the port of barcelona, situated between the beach and las ramblas. There is a large shopping centre here, which includes a few restaurants, bars etc... also, there is a cinema, aquarium and fairground/circus, in addition to museums nearby.
Beautiful architecture, including cathedrals etc... plenty of shops, bars, restaurants down all the little winding side streets. Plenty to explore
This is a must see. The architecture and decor of this catedral is beautiful. There is an area inside, where it includes nature - geese, and lots of trees extra growing inside
One of the main sights of Barcelona - one of Gaudis famous art/architecture pieces. must be seen from the outside in both the day and night time - it does get lit up at night. very expensive to go inside.
Monument situated at the bottom of las ramblas. can go inside and up the tower to appreciate views over barcelona las ramblas street from one side, and the marina/port from the other.
Club on the beach, we went on a deal with a bar on las ramblas (the lounge bar). we paid €20 each for access to the bar and any of 4x nightclubs on the beach (we chose pacha), and a free drink at the bar. large queues if not with a deal/company expensive drinks inside - €24 for 2 single vodka and cokes
This street has good transportation links, close to las ramblas - amazing high end designer shops including prada, tiffany, burberry and versace. Also has a few less high end shops including mango. plenty of places to eat here too, with many cafes and restaurants along the roads.
bar situated opposite the beach front, with excellent views of the sea. Outdoor seating available. drinks and food available - cannot comment on the food as we did not eat here, but drinks were good.
La padera is situated on Passeig de Gracia, close to las ramblas. It is a must see of barcelona, and one of Gaudis most famous buildings/art. It is now used as apartments, but you can still go inside and up to the top to see the much loved/photographed chimneys.
MUST SEE of barcelona - most famous site!! One of Gaudis pieces of art, with amazing detail and design. His plans/drawings were burned and this building was completed in his 'style' by another architecture/artist. very interesting place. towers represent the apostles. not finished, so still has cranes and workmen on the cathedral, will be completed in 2026. must book tickets online to gain entry (tickets on 'the door' sell out VERY quickly).
