  • Stop for lunch at restaurant Tranquility, or a bit earlier in Banthani 2.
  • Hotel Panorama in Tadopani does not have the best food, but the view is great.
  • If you liked the apple pie in Ghorepani; don't try it here! Because you'll get a big deep-fried momo filled with apple-chocolate mush.

Points of Interest

1. Poon Hill

3210m. Climb up at 5-5:30am in the dark with a flashlight, to see the sunrise on the Dhaulagiri and Annapurnas. One of the best view points in the Himalayas.

2. Ghorepani

Ghore means horse, Pani means water; Ghorepani was once a major staging point for pack-horse caravans.

Their heated dining room is the main attraction, but there are plenty alternatives in Ghorepani.

4. Deurali

Up to Durali the trail goes up and down along a ridge, with the most beautiful old rhododendron trees. Durali is your first option for a tea break; there are no tea houses before it.

5. Banthanti 2

Another small village with some tea houses.

6. Tranquility

Stop over for lunch. Good Dhal Bhat, or vegetable fried rice.

7. Tadapani

Just before Tadapani the trail drops down steeply to a river and after the river there's the final 130m high climb to Tadapani. Tadapani offers a great view on Fish-tail mountain and Annapurna South.

8. Hotel Panorama

Hotel Panorama is a bit higher as the others, plus it has a small raised dining room which has the best view on the Annapurna mountain range.
