When looking for a beach in Laguna, Main Beach is the easiest one to find. It's right off of PCH (Pacific Coast Highway) and right across the street from most of the restaurants and shopping. Convenient and easy to access — the perfect start to a fantastic beach day!
Right next to Main Beach, Heisler Park is the perfect place for an afternoon stroll. There is a very nice trail that runs along the hillside just above the beach and provides beautiful views of the coastline.
If seclusion and peace are what you're after, Table Rock Beach is absolutely your best bet. While it's becoming more well-known, you'll be fighting way fewer people than you would elsewhere in Laguna. This is a great spot to spread out your towel or a blanket and soak up the rays!
Crystal Cove is one of my personal favorite spots in Laguna Beach. It is the best place to catch the sunset and enjoy a nice stroll.
Chances are, when you ask someone for a good beach suggestion in Laguna, they'll mention 1,000 Steps Beach. It's a workout to get down there (it has its name for a reason, although perhaps not quite 1000 steps) and even more to get back up, but it's completely worth the hike. A bit more secluded than other beaches in the area, with beautiful water, natural pools, and a cave to explore.
Aliso Beach Park is easily the most convenient of the beaches in Laguna. Parking is right by the beach, and you can even stop and drop off your stuff before parking your car. If you've got kids or just a bunch of stuff to haul around with you, this beach will make your day much more manageable and free you up to just have fun!
This park may be tiny, but the view is nothing short of spectacular. If you'd like a bird's eye view of the Laguna coastline, this is the perfect place for it.
This place is absolutely awesome. If you have any interest in sea life whatsoever (and probably even if you don't,) you need to plan a visit as soon as possible. Tons of sea anemones, sea urchins, mussels, etc., and if you're lucky, you'll catch a marine biologist or a university student who can help explain and point things out to you!
No beach day is complete without a delicious and refreshing scoop of ice cream. Gelato Paradiso is hands-down my favorite place to grab a treat in Laguna. Best gelato outside of Italy, and the employees are always very friendly.
