Points of Interest & Landmarks
You can find many theaters in the area from The Carolina Opry, Palace Theater, Alabama Theater and many more, but The Carolina Opry is in my opinion the best. Professional grade talent and great variety is what sets them apart.
Formally the Dixie Stampede, Dolly Parton decided to try something new. Having been to both of the shows, she made a great decision. This show is ACTION PACKED and the food is great. I've also been to Medieval Times, but Pirates Voyage is the show to see.
My favorite restaurant in the area. Carolina Roadhouse has a great menu, but I recommend the Giant BBQ Beef Rib for any rib lovers. Other great dishes include the Prime Rib, N'awlins Chicken and their famous Killer Dog. They also have a great children's menu.
Everything in one place. Shopping, dining and entertainment for the whole family. Attractions include Ripley's Aquarium, Wonder Works (with a rope course and zipline), speed boat, 3D theater, mini golf and much more. Some restaurants are kid friendly Johnny Rockets, Margaritaville, Capriz Italian Feast, Key West Grill, Liberty Brewery, Joe's Crab Shack and about a dozen more. There are also several bars for those looking for some nightlife.
A smaller version of Broadway at the Beach but still worth a visit. Mostly shops and dining without as many attractions. Great restaurants include Flying Fish, T-Bonz, Umberto's, Wild Wing Café, River City Café and many more.
I've only eaten here once and the experience was great. I've also has some friends rave about the place. Great service, good food and reasonable prices.
One of the nicest courses I've played in the area and in my opinion reasonably priced. Course was well maintained and all carts have a GPS.
I've never been to Capt George's but felt like I needed to include it because of how many people recommend it to me. I'm a steak and ribs guy and so is most of my family so we stick to steakhouses usually. Well stocked buffet for $32/person.
