Paridise! This place is incredible, words and pictures can never do it justice. Not only are the views and rooms amazing. The staff and attention to service is 5 star. They treat you like Queens and Kings in their Beach House Hotel. Also you feel like you are making a true impact on the community by visiting Haiti as a tourist. The secret that Haiti can be a fabulous vacation spot is quickly getting out and this hotel is one of pure luxury. This vacation was my significant other and my first international trip together. Eli (Owner) who spent most of his career in New York helped us every step of our trip, planning, translating over the phone, and his assistance was not only during our stay. But also before and after our arrival. His trip tips and assistance was extremely helpful getting around Haiti. He made our vacation truly wonderful.
A few words of advice for visitors. The Rooms 5 and 6 are very nice, I highly recommend and the suite is amazing with incredible views. Also if you need anything, just ask Eli and the staff. They will do anything to make sure your stay is perfect and magical.
This is not some touristy/all inclusive resort that is all about money. This is a very unique beach house that you will never forget. Don't forget the sunscreen because his private beach with amazing white sand will stay in your dreams for years.
Lastly. THE FOOD IS AMAZING. And included with your stay. We are talking about some of the best food in Haiti you can imagine. They spare no expense for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast includes some of the best tropical fruit I will ever have. Lunch includes salad, pasta, sandwiches (Lobster Panini was our fav). Dinner you feel you are in a movie. The fish and Lobster are incredibly fresh, the beef and chicken have so much flavor and the sides in all the meals are unique and tasty! You will never go hungry and leave very happy!
Thank you Eli and his staff for such an amazing Romantic getaway. We can't wait to return!
We decided to do a girls getaway of 3 days at Île-à-Vache.
This guest house was suggested by my friend who heard about it by another friend. We had never heard about it before and decided to try instead of going to one of the main we always hear about.
It was an excellent decision.
It’s a guest house on a big property with only 5 rooms.
The staff is friendly, service is really good and the owner is oriented toward customer satisfaction.
Food was excellent including desserts! Very rarely do you get such high quality in desserts in the countryside if there is dessert at all.
Room and bathroom were big and super clean.
Pick-up and drop-off, and all meals were on time (important to note for an Haitian context!)
We had a super time and were spoiled! Will definitely go back!
L'Anse a L'eau is located on the island of Ile a Vaches, a paradise of the Southern cost of Haiti. The room I staid in was very comfortable with Air conditioning, hot and cold water. Our Host, Elie, welcomed us with a drink that is his secret recipe. At breakfast and dinner, Elie serenades us with his recordings of very enjoyable music from years past. The beach is but a short walk from my room, leading to the warm Caribean sea. I wouls definitely return to L'Anse a l'eau.
For a vacation destination where you can relax and unwind, L'Anse a L’eau Beach House Hotel in Ile-a-Vache, Haiti is the place to be. In July of 2016, my family visited this beautiful ocean-front hotel where we enjoyed swimming and boating, fine dining, and outdoor activities. We were the only guests in this island beach house during our off-season stay, and we were well-treated. Though the trip to the hotel can only be made in a small canoe-type boat with water splashing over the side, we survived the frightening ride and were welcomed to a peaceful retreat. (Fees for boat excursions (each way) and other activities are $15.00 US per person.)
Food: We could choose from a wide variety of dishes and fresh juices at mealtimes. We were personally asked for our preferences, which was nice.
Room: The room was nice and spacious, however, air conditioning was only available in the evening, so daytime naps were a little hot and uncomfortable. The water used in the shower was rainwater (great for the hair, but the smell was a bit unpleasant).
There was an excursion to a beautiful island called L’ile des Amoureux (Lover’s Island). The water was crystal-clear and the sand very fine and white. It was a sand bar with no trees but a beautiful view, and we enjoyed our time there in the middle of the ocean.
Thank you Elie and Staff.
My name is Philippe Bertrand, I recently visited Haiti, and the highlight was my amazing time at this hotel. I received VIP treatment from my arrival until my departure. I was greeted with the most delicious passion fruit rhum cocktail. My room was clean and comfortable. The food was amazing. The staff was very helpful, and polite. The owner Elie was very welcoming and attentive to all my needs. its a very quiet place. The beach is amazing and clean....the sunset and sunrise are a must see from the hotel, such a treat for my lens, I am a photographer. I traveled with a group of friends and I assure you that we all were satisfied with the experience, we will go back, I will go back, very soon.
