This B&B farm stay is in the italian countryside but within 15 mins walk of a village (pub, coffee, pizza etc).
We came here to avoid the August crowds and we certainly did that, as there were very few people around anywhere.
We had a car, so drove around the local sights of towns, castles, food & wine manufacturing outlets. We used our phone for navigation which we think is essential as roads are good but signage poor.
The B&B had a real family feel and our hosts Simone & Bruno were a delight. Very friendly and helpful and considerate of our needs, with good english language skills. Nothing was too much trouble, including arranging food tours for us and dinner reservations.
Our room was basic but clean and the shower hot.
Breakfast was plentiful including Simone’s home-made cakes.
Highly recommended if you want to get away from the rat-race for a while.
This is an incredible place to stay. Bruno and Simona are wonderful hosts. We enjoyed talking to them. They made us feel very welcome from the tea and coffee when we arrived, help with dinner reservations and recommendations to buy the best Parmesan cheese. The room was large and very comfortable. The breakfast was incredible with lots of choices. We only stayed one night, but wished we could have stayed longer.
We had a great stay in late November with Bruno and Simona! We stayed for 2 nights and found the 'Cherry Room' very comfortable and quiet. Bruno was able to recommend a local restaurant for dinner, and it was the best meal we had during our two week time in Italy! He also arranged a great foodie day for us, visiting a Parmesan Farm, where he was our guide, Procuitto and traditional Balsamic Vinegar farm. It was a really well planned day, and we had an amazing time.
Simona's breakfast was not to be missed! Wonderful pastries that we are still dreaming of that Simona makes fresh, along with yogurts, coffee, really anything you wanted they have! There was also plenty of parking outside, in a gated courtyard.
Staying on the farm was really awesome, and the friendly dogs gave you a feel of coming back home after a day out. Thank you for a great time!
We used this to break our trip up between Venice and Pisa we were greeted by the lovely Bruno and Simona who offered us afternoon tea before settling us into our room, they were delightful spoke enough English to understand us offered assistance in showing us a Castle to visit and lovely restaurant to eat at, the next morning had a beautiful breakfast before booking a tour at the Parmesan factory for us and even giving us directions for the best way to Piza I would highly recommend this b&b and can't wait to visit again if you ever come to Australia come stay with me Simona and Bruno
You will get a warm welcome, a good night's sleep, an ample breakfast and plenty of food recommendations here. The owner also arranges tours of a parmigiana cheese plant (15 € for about an hour-plus tour) and has great tips on artisinal parma ham and balsalmic places nearby. We stayed in a standalone building across from the main house. It had a double and a single bed but the size of the room was okay. A great burger and beer place is a short walk away. We highly recommend this if you in the area.
