The hotel service was mostly great, but you might need to ask for something or follow up on a request. For example, there was no wastebasket in the room bathroom, and I needed to ask, then ask again. The government’s COVID protocol requires visitors to take and record their temperatures daily. When we asked a security guard who was taking arriving guests' temperatures for this purpose, he was annoyed that we asked him to do that before greeting some arriving guests who had not engaged him yet. These aren’t major problems, but they’re far short of a supposed local icon five-star hotel. There were also incidents of impressive service at the hotel and the beach club.
The room had a beautiful view, and was spacious and comfortable.
The on-site restaurants generally are among the best in the country. However, a few more amenities for guests would be helpful. At least during the pandemic, there are long stretches during which only Crown & Anchor is open. Having a small space with some convenience-store items like bottled water and sports drinks would really complete the offerings on site.
The complimentary jitney to the beach club leaves too infrequently to compensate for the hotel’s not being on a beach. During the COVID pandemic, it only departs from the hotel every 90 minutes. The wait time is the same from the beach. The schedule was only a little better before the pandemic. The jitney ride takes 20 minutes. So, this requires guests to plan much more for a beach visit than one would expect at an island destination. Departures every 30 minutes would balance out the lack of a beach on site.
The beach club is excellent. It’s one of the best manned beaches I’ve seen. The beach club is very family friendly. It’s on a bay with about 1/3 man-made banks and 2/3 natural. A natural rock breakwater keeps the real waves out. There was lots of wildlife in and around the water. The club has nice bathrooms, outdoor showers, and equipment to use.
I have been to Bermuda 6 times now and every time I have stayed at the Hamilton Princess.
The hotel is beautiful, clean, the food is delicious and the customer service is exceptional every time. Niki always make me feel welcome and nothing is ever too much trouble for the staff.
The hotel have made many changes since the pandemic, hand sanitiser stations everywhere, a one way system and mandatory mask wearing in communal areas. Also in your room you get a pack with your own hand sanitiser, masks and sanitiser wipes. I felt completely safe through my whole stay there.
There are two beautiful pools looking out to the ocean and one of them is an infinity pool.
Hamilton princess is by far my favourite hotel out of any destination I have been to and I travel for work so I have visited many.
Thank you to Niki and all the staff. Keep doing what you do!
One of the best hotels in which I have stayed. Rooms are a great size with comfy beds and lovely in room amenities! Hotel has two pools with great views overlooking the marina, one being quiet and adults only and the other an infinity, they certainly made for a relaxing stay. Restaurants always serve up the best food, sometimes with a live band playing! But what really makes this hotel stand out from others has to be their staff... Nothing is a bother. The guest services manager Niki is always willing to resolve even the tiniest of issues one may have (thank you) and room service forgot one of the items I requested and although I really didn't mind and indicated that it was not at all a problem to me, minutes later it's at my door so thank you too. And it must be said that all steps taken to mitigate spread of covid-19 so hand sanitizers in room and all around hotel and masks and wipes always available. Temperature checks on arrival. This gave me peace of mind! Thank you all, you made my business trip feel like a safe mini vacation!
I am staying at the Hamilton Princess & Beach Club for a while so for me it is important to be in a place where I can work and relax. I could not ask for better at the Hamilton Princess.
Staff: as one expects from a 5 star hotel: courteous, efficient, friendly and nothing is too much for them. They are great.
Facilities: plenty to choose in terms of eateries, good wifi, rooms are of a good size, all comforts one can expect.
Design: the hotel is full of artwork which sets its apart from other properties. There is plenty to look at.
Food: excellent, varied and this is the first hotel in the 100s I stayed at where at each room service ordered, a delivery time is provided and they deliver on that!
To note: I have experienced two hurricanes whilst on the island and the staff at the hotel were superb. They looked after us like a family and kept us constantly informed.
This hotel is definitely one to visit and stay at in Hamilton.
Decided to have a staycation with my wife. We love it at this hotel, but the level of service was just poor. I called the hotel at 1:30pm to see if our room was ready, the receptionist said no but it would be ready in an hour. We showed up at 3:30 and it still wasn't ready. I understand that check in is at 4pm, but our room STILL wasn't ready by 4:30pm. The room was nice.
The service at breakfast was surprisingly aweful amd painfully slow. The service around the pool was very slow.
It was like they were understaffed and this was the first time running a hotel. When the hotel is in a class of luxury style hotels, you expect a certain level of service, especially as a loyal Club Accor member!
