Been lucky enough to stay in a lot of great hotels around the world but I think this is my favourite.
Staff all so friendly. Gold lounge for breakfast, high tea, afternoon canapes and dessert is in an exclusive part of the hotel with great indoor and outdoor spaces to relax in peace and calm away from the bustle of the main hotel dining areas. We ate twice in the Marcus restaurant, Sunday brunch on the first weekend of our trip and on the last Saturday also. Their burger was $27 but quite the best I've ever had. The Johnny bread and flavour combos was amazing. Award-winning too I was told afterwards.
Wine not cheap but all good quality. Tried the Chateau d'Issan vertical tasting (2005, 2010, 2015), which was interesting. Had a few issues but thanks to Head Sommelier Alex for sorting that out.
Art hanging on the walls here absolutely amazing.
By the end of the trip, I was quite used to walking past all the Warhols, Lowrys and Banksys but it did give added interest to explore the hotel wondering what master might be hung up around the corner.
My only criticism of our lovely room was that it didn't have a bath, which would have been nice to soak in after our golf days. Will check I have that next stay.
Spent the last afternoon in the infinity pool and hot tub watching the boats go past.
Hotel gave us a courtesy room to change for the airport, which was a nice touch.
Bermuda is a beautiful island. Nice people too. We'll definitely be back.
Seven years since we visited Bermuda and decided this time to try the Hamilton Princess due to Waterfront location. Stayed seven nights last week. Very impressive as were all the most courteous staff. Had a lovely renovated corner deluxe room with two balconies Just so quiet and wonderful views over fabulous infinity pool and bay. Breakfast fabulous and every morning had a lovely welcoming young lady waiting for us who knew our room number, name and had a daily newspaper ready for us. Lovely wee touches are much appreciated. Hope the other chatty Restaurant Manager had a lovely girly weekend in Miami. She was so excited about that. All other staff were excellent from reception to housekeeping. Love having plenty bottled water twice daily in our room. Other hotels round the world do not compete with this service. We must of course mention the fantastic concierge- Jaime(female). She looked after us so well and had a wonderful sense of humour. -like us Scots. On leaving she insisted on treating us to a Dark and Stormy leaving drink each. Just so sorry she could not join us. What an asset to the hotel. All the lovely wee doormen and our bus driver wonderful too. Hopefully not seven years til our return. We heard a lovely story from a local barmen about the family who own the hotel. Well done to the family.
We stayed here for 3 days for a business trip. In all honesty, it would have been out of our budget if our company wasn't paying for it. The rooms were lovely and when we asked for rooms with fridges we were assigned ones with a little station with a fridge, kettle, coffee maker, etc. Beautiful views of the harbour and the ocean and the pools were amazing. We did not eat at the hotel at all because it was too pricy, but everything on Front St was a quick walk. The beach club was amazing! Free kayaks, SUPs, and hammocks in the water. We went during the off season so there was no drink service, but still water, sunscreen, and towels available. If I could afford it, I would definitely stay again,
Had a 5 night stay at the Hamilton Princess, and could not be happier that we chose this hotel. We upgraded our room to Gold level which gave us access to the lounge. In the lounge we were provided with breakfast daily, as well as light snacks, horsd'oeuvres, light desserts, and an honor bar. The staff in the lounge were all wonderful, in particular the concierge Ben, and Sanjay who is one of the servers. They both made us feel very welcomed, and valued as guests. It was a warm and inviting space, with a lovely balcony, to sit and relax or meet up with friends, we actually spent a fair amount of time here, which I did not expect. Our Gold level King room was on the highest floor, facing the marina. Although it was not a huge room it offered more then enough space, with a sitting area, and walk in closet. The view from the balcony was lovely, and there was a table, 2 chairs, and a lounger. The room was clean, quiet, and nicely appointed.
The infinity pool area is lovely, and there is also an adults only pool. The hotel gym is amazing, the most well equipped and largest I have ever seen in any hotel I've been to, I was disappointing that I did not bring any of my workout clothes!
The hotel is well located and within easy walking distance of many restaurants and shops. It is also very close to where you catch the ferry, and not that far from the bus terminal.
Everyone we came into contact with at the hotel was friendly and made you feel welcome which added to making our stay here wonderful. I would definitely stay here again.
I don't even know how to begin writing this review. We just returned from a 6 night stay at the Hamilton Princess & Beach Club. It was our first time in Bermuda, and the hotel was in a prime location. The ferry and buses were a short walk, and within seconds, you could catch a taxi that was waiting at the hotel. The concierge was so friendly - and both were a wealth of information on things to do on the island. The rooms were beautiful and our view was incredible. We enjoyed the infinity pool and the jaccuzi, and treated outselves to a massage at the spa. Breakfast options were plentiful - if you get the morning buffet, you won't be sorry. We also had dinner at the hotel one evening, and it was delicious. Expect the food in Bermuda to be expensive, but worth the price. Water was always available, and would be replenished in the morning and night. We enjoyed speaking with the hotel staff, and each one of them respresented the hotel with pride (from the restaurant servers, housekeeping, front desk, concierge, doormen, the restaurant manager, and hotel manager - John, you are golden!). I can't wait to return for another vacation. Thank you for making our stay so memorable.
