I was planning a trip to Havana in December, and asked a friend from Havana who highly recommended Hostal Havana 3M. I wanted to book 2 rooms, but only one was available. But the owner kindly arranged a second room two doors down. There were four of us - 3 women and one man. The man stayed at Hostal Havana 3M and we 3 women stayed a couple of doors down with Mirna (who isn't online). They kindly arranged the space to fit the three of us, and it worked beautifully. We had a little "living room - which at night doubled as a room for one", a kitchenette and a room upstairs. Onel got a spacious room at 3M with a gorgeous shared dining room and living room. Both rooms were clean & spacious. AMAZING! We were in the heart of old Havana a short walk from the Malecon. Magela and Mirna were so lovely and accommodating! We'd get a fresh homemade breakfast every morning at 3M, and chat with other tourists, then head off to explore. So wonderful!! I recommend it to everyone and when I go back to Havana I'm staying here!!

This hostel is well located to the old Havana. The neighbourhood can seem a bit daunting especially at night. Magela's Mum was there most of the time, although she doesn't speak english but was very helpful. Every morning she prepared a fantastic breakfast. Room is very spacious and clean. Will recommend this place and likely to return.

Being from the United States, this was obviously our first time to the AMAZING island of Cuba. Magela and her wonderful husband are excellent hosts and will help you with anything that you need. We all know that Americans have very high standards, so when you come to Cuba it is essential that you come with an open heart and open mind. This Hostel is very clean, and the location is amazing. Just steps from the Malecon, and smack in the center of a typical Cuban neighborhood. Our family had 2 rooms, both with private bathrooms and FANTASTIC Air Conditioning units. My husband and I had a room with one bed and a bench, our children were in the next room over with two beds an a bench. Decor is very minimal, and not made to hang out in your room for long, as there is really no where to sit and relax. If you want to sit and relax with a book, go downstairs and make use of the awesome sitting area. The bathroom in our room was clean, but the toilet BARELY flushed, and the mattress was nearly unbearable. We chose to switch rooms with our kids, and just shared their bathroom, which worked beautifully. For $5 CUCs Magela and her husband will make you an amazing Cuban breakfast. I highly recommend this option, as it can be difficult to find breakfast in the morning, unless you are prepared to buy fruit and bread from the street vendors, which is fun!

While walking through Havana for a week, and seeing into a few other Hostels as we walked passed, we realized how beautiful and special Hostal Havana 3M is. 5 Stars and 3 cheers, please don't hesitate to book. It's incredible for the price. :)
