Stayed here over Easter for a much needed break. The hotel is fantastic. Restaurants are amazing--pricey but worth it. My kids enjoyed the pools. Food and drink service by the pools was great. Would definitely stay here again. Everything was easy. The 1 BR suite was large with more than enough space and a full kitchen.

Do not say at this place!! DO NOT!! Shortly after we checked in we received envelopes under our door with a card for 50% off at certain restaurants. Everyone in my party was thrilled because they RAPE you with how expensive everything is. I got my 11 year old a croissant and a side of bacon and it cost me $16. Anyway, we started using the card and then we were told we couldn’t use them if we weren’t employees. We told them that THEIR front desk gave us the cards to use while we were here. They were addressed to us, with our names on them and our room numbers. Apparently it was a “mistake” and they confiscated our cards. Not to mention they are “holding” over $1,300 on my card right now ABOVE what I already paid for my room and meal plan. I will NEVER stay here again. I stayed at Atlantis 2 summers ago and had the best experience. I am tempted to leave here right now and go over to Atlantis for the remainder of my vacation.

We just returned from 7 nights at Hyatt baha mar, and I have nothing but accolades for the staff and resort. To begin, the property is insane. The details in every corner of the rooms, pools, casino, cars, lobby, fountains, aquarium, restaurants, etc etc are awe-inspiring.

But what sets baha mar apart is the service. The staff are genuine, kind, and always go the extra mile, including the manager Ulrich Samietz who ensured we had a perfect stay and has my son very excited about their water park that is slated to open soon.

In regards to restaurants, we LOVED breakfast at 3 tides with Matthew and Maurica who made us feel like royalty. We tended to eat lunch by the pool (Jackie at the out island pool remembered our names and exact preferences). Our meals at Carna and Katsuya easily rivaled meals at the finest NYC restaurants. And the ambiance and experience of eating at Costa is unparalleled (imagine eating in an over-water hut with koi fish jumping all around you).

After having recently visited a resort in Florida during this pandemic, I cannot tell you how much safer we felt here. We were tested upon arrival (30 min wait in our room for results) and tested on the 5th day of our trip. While getting tested was a very small nuisance that I didn’t have to do in Florida, I felt a million times safer as a mom knowing that everyone else at this resort had tested negative as well.

All in all, an amazing stay at a stunning resort. A much needed escape from the northeast where my family felt normal and safe to enjoy and build forever memories.

We spent 8 days (March 27-April 3) at Grand Hyatt and it is my pleasure to write a very positive review of this resort. My husband and I travelled with my 72-year old mother, our twin 13 year old boys and 9 year old daughter. All of us had an outstanding experience at Grand Hyatt. I particularly want to point out the friendliness and helpfulness of every staff member we encountered - from the GM Gerald personally escorting us to our room in the beginning to the door staff handing us bottles of water as we departed on the last day, everyone was exceptional.
We did just about every amenity imaginable - all the pools, beach, aviary, sanctuary visit, croquet, kayaks - so many options for folks of all ages. Even glass bottom kayaks which I had never seen before! Prior to booking, I was on the fence about whether to book Grand Hyatt or Atlantis. We ended up doing a day pass at Atlantis and had a great time there as well but after spending time at both, I believe Grand Hyatt was better for us. Atlantis is of course fun with amazing amenities and the property is beautiful, but it is very crowded and busy and we were nickel and dimed for every single thing we did plus lines were long for the best slides and this was even with reduced capacity. It was really nice to come back to the tranquility of the Hyatt after all of our excursions during the day. One fun surprise that wasn't highlighted but we stumbled upon it: free gelato each day from 3:30-4 on the Rosewood Baha Mar lawn.
We went to just about every restaurant at the resort - Swimming Pig, Stix, Pizza Lab, Carna, Katsuya, 3 Tides Fish House, Drift Bar and Grill, El Jefe, Fi'Lia. Our food was very good just about everywhere we went. All of the restaurants are expensive but as we learned when we travelled around Bahamas, EVERYTHING is expensive in the Bahamas. We went to a grocery store to stock up on breakfast items and were shocked by prices for the locals. So it's just the way it is in Bahamas.
We wanted to do an excursion to the Exumas and Hyatt recommended Shore Thing Escapes - we did the day trip to Exumas and this was definitely once in a lifetime experience. After reviewing lots of reviews of companies who do this trip online, I think that Shore Thing is the best. We had a fantastic time - Allen's Cay with iguanas, Big Major Cay with pigs, Compass Cay with nurse sharks, etc.

We recently came back from the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar. It was an amazing experience for me as well as my family. I would definitely recommend going there, and im hoping to go back there again. This was our first vacation since the start of Covid-19 and we felt really safe and reassured there. As soon as we checked in, we were directed to their medical facility called Doctors Hospital, where we had to take a Covid rapid test. We got the results emailed to us, which were negative, and only then we got the room keys (bracelets). Our room was amazing – it was family of 4 and we had a one-bedroom Oceanview suite with full kitchen. It was stocked with everything needed to make quick meals if you just wanted to hangout in the room on the balcony looking at the beautiful ocean. It was super clean with beautiful décor with all amenities needed to stay comfortably. This resort really acknowledges the pandemic and perfectly takes all the necessary precautions to keep everyone safe and healthy. A mask is required on the premises, which people do follow, which gives a feeling of reassuring safety. There are social distancing markings at every line and place where there would be crowded gatherings, and everything is cleaned and sanitized all the time. In addition, there are temperature and sanitizing stations at every entrance to use at your disposal.
The staff at Baha Mar are exceptional. We were greeted by the director of rooms, Ms. Marshneil Baradwaj, and her assistant Mr. Anil Marry, which proved to be very helpful during our stay. Ms. Marshneil went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything needed to make the best of our time there. The rest of the staff are lively and happy and make you feel the same way as well. You can definitely see that they love to work there and that they really enjoy helping others and doing the best they can to make our stay memorable. For example, Reio a poolside server was quick with his service very thoughtful, and periodically checked on us when we were in our cabana. Gucci, the manager of the Pizza Lab restaurant really took care of us during our dinner there. The pizza was amazing but wasn't made the way we wanted it. He took care of it and corrected the problem for us. Marco, a server at the 3 Tides restaurant was very nice and always started our morning off with a lively greeting and quick service. Even when he wasn't our server, he checked on us and made sure everything was correct. Executive Sous Chef Mr. Santosh Karodi really took care of us for breakfast. He welcomed us every day and prepared some amazing Indian vegetarian dishes for us every morning and really knows how to cook! We were full every morning eating the delicious food that he cooked for us. He made sure we were taken care of to start off our day right. Overall, the staff at Baha Mar is great and very welcoming, and friendly. They really do their best to make sure that your stay is the most memorable and that you feel at home. They keep the place very clean and always running well to make sure you are always happy.
There are many activities to do at the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar. We mostly went to the pools and ocean. our kids 16 and 13, enjoy several pools they have and loved jumping off the clif at the "blue hole" pool. There is always a lifeguard on duty and the pools and beach are always kept clean. They also have activities such as kayaking, paddle boarding, golf, basketball, a gym, bird feeding, flamingo parades, and much more. Our experience there was amazing, the staff was very nice and we felt safe and at home there. We were very happy and comfortable there. We are definitely going to look at opportunities to return back there, especially as soon as they open the water park in July. I definitely recommend staying there if you are planning to visit the Bahamas.

The breakfast range from $14 for the fruit and yogurt to $26 for the 2 eggs, potatoes and bacon American breakfast. Where the costs add up is VAT, delivery and service charges.

I don’t have an answer for this question. In 2018 we stayed in a much larger suite and I don’t believe there was a tub in there but I can’t be for certain. In 2019 we were in a smaller suite and we did not have a bathtub.
