When you are greeted at the door by a basket of hand-knit slippers, as well as a welcoming host, you know you're in a special place! A charming historic home with an urban loft feel.
We came for a dinner to celebrate a friends wedding and booked to stay one night.
Dinner was a culinary delight, prepared by Chef Ben and served by his effecient staff.
Our room was very comfortable, well appointed, charming. Breakfast was a complete treat served in the sunroom.
We would revisit and recommend!
A great place for any occasion!

Thoroughly enjoyed spending the evening of our 30th anniversary here to relax and take in the beautiful and quaint decor and comfortable room, hot tub and pool. Ben was wonderful and prepared a delicious seafood dinner just for us! The salmon was amazing! Breakfast was equally as good and we left happy and content. Ben made us feel right at home, which by the way was only 20 minutes away, which shows you don't have to travel far to escape reality for a day or two.

We chose the Iron Kettle B&B largely based on the strength of its TripAdvisor reviews, and we were not disappointed -- rather, we found it to be one of the nicest B&Bs we have stayed at.
Situated just south of Comber, and 20 minutes N of Leamington, the Iron Kettle occupies a stately 19th-centure house amidst nicely-landscaped surroundings. From the private parking lot to the pond that you can watch as you eat your breakfast, the owners have found a good balance between the classic and the modern.
The same continues inside: fully renovated, it has five bedrooms, each with a private bathroom. Tastefully furnished, the bedrooms have superbly comfortable Sealy beds for a good night's sleep, with furnishings that fit the ambiance of the house while still providing the modern comforts. The two sitting rooms and the kitchen area continue the same theme, and provide a comfortable area to sink into the leather sofa and read a book -- or watch the satellite TV, if one is so inclined. Wireless Internet and a computer are also available for Internet access.
The owners are very helpful and accommodating, and clearly take pride of ownership in the B&B, ensuring that everything is clean, presentable and working condition. Oh, and the breakfast: apart from the excellent continental-style content, we enjoyed some outstanding croissants with egg, Genoa salami, provolone and Asiago cheese. I can't imagine a much better start for a day!
The Iron Kettle is sure to be at the top of our list for the future, and is highly recommended whether visiting Leamington and Point Pelee, or looking for a place to stay en route to Windsor and Detroit.

I so prefer a B&B to a hotel - and the experience I'm looking for when just stopping for the night would be like staying in a friends guest room but with more privacy. The Iron Kettle is like that if a) your friend is an architect and b) your friend is also a chef. Apparently the best idea, though I got there too late in the evening, is to have dinner there as well. Other guests said it was excellent. The breakfast was delicious, plentiful wholesome and innovative. The house itself is lovely, the rooms simple and absolutely clean, bed and bedding comfortable. I can't recommend this place enough. I was driving coast to coast and took the Canadian way between Buffalo and Detroit, so glad I did. Wish I'd had time to stay a couple days and explore the north side of the lake. The price is more than reasonable.
