The front desk manager should get a promotion. What a great man. He helped us out so much and the hotel is in such great shape. For what we paid for in Banff, it was absolutely superb. Lovely gym and swimming pool, the Bumpers Restaurant attached was also great.

We stayed with a group but we did a lot of our own things.

The hotel is not 5 star but the rooms are very comfortable, some may say bathroom dated but actually it was all we needed and wanted.

The beds are comfortable and rooms a nice size.

The staff were very helpful and friendly so a big thumbs up.

We didn’t eat in the restaurant but bar food food was good so good indication, the bar was good and spacious.

The pool and jacuzzi attached to the the gym is also good if you want to relax, gym isn’t big but after ski-ing do you want that ?

The location is at the top of the Main Street and great for easy reach of all the bars shops and restaurants.

For the ski buses to the 3 slopes well located which go from next hotel which is 4 mins with ski boots on and carrying skis.

All round a really good place to have as a base

Would we stay again yes would we recommend it definitely.

The lovely twinkly night lights in the Treee outsde the Lodge makes every day feel special. There was a warm welcome from the staff and a blazing log fire in the main Lobby. Yes it trully was like coming home.
The rooms are great, with a lovely Spa, indoor pool, gym & jacuzzi all very well maintained and an Ideal wind down after a day on the georgeous ski-ing slopes of Sunshine, Lake Louise or any of the other numerous chices the ski-pass gives you. Becareful to buy the ski pass that does cover 3 because its important they are not interchangeable.
Thank you to the staff and management who motivate them at the Lodge.

We really appreciate you taking the time to leave such a lovely review, Caroline_BEx! It is so good to hear that you enjoyed your time in Banff and made good use of the facilities throughout the lodge. We agree, the hot tub is a gem after a long day on the hill. We look forward to welcoming you back again to the Rundlestone Lodge the next time you are in Beautiful Banff. Best regards the Rundlestone Team

Just returned from spending 13 nights at the rundlestone as the title says this is the third year in a row that I have spent 2 weeks staying in whilst on holiday I always look forward to visiting one thing that really stands out is their ability to retain staff this suggests to me at least that people enjoy working there and enjoy what they do...otherwise they would work in the many many other hotels in banff. The hotel although towards the end of banff avenue is super quiet which is worth the walk to and from the centre of town there's even a bus stop right outside for those that don't want to walk...other things I look for are a decent gym and decent wifi....the hotel has constantly improved in these areas the times I have visited all the rooms are furnished to a high standard with very comfortable beds. Staff are really helpful & accomodating I had hired a bike for a week and was allowed to store it behind reception which was extremely convenient for me. The hotel restaurant I found to be very good and very well priced don't be mislead by how quiet it appears the quality of the food is very very good and a lot better and less expensive than some restaurants downtown....i will be back in banff next year and will indeed again be staying at this hotel

Response from RundlestoneBanff, Front Office Manager at The Rundlestone Lodge
Responded Jul 22, 2015
Hi Ash, Thank you ever so much for your kind words. It is always our greatest pleasure to host you – whilst it is nice for you to see the familiar faces of all our long term staff, it is equally nice when our staff get to see returning guests like yourself every year. We will continue to look for ways to improve our property and our services and hope you get to enjoy them for many more years to come. Glad you were able to get out and about on the bike and survived the Canadian roads – they aren’t that bad after all, eh! Best regards from all our staff at the Rundlestone & Bumpers – and we look forward to welcoming you back next year!

We stayed in the Rundlestone Lodge for 10 night and found it to be an excellent hotel. It is a little dated but comfortable, quiet and nice size rooms. The hotel is located 10 mins walk away from all the hustle and bustle of the main downtown area but this is not a bad thing. They have some very good specials in their restaurant and this compares very very well with the rest of the town in terms of not only the price but also the quality.

Mainly very young staff but all without exception very friendly and helpful across the board.

My wife is a bit of a gym bunny and found the small gym much to her liking and the jacuzzi and pool were also very good.

The TV was quite limited, lots of sport (good for me less good for 'she who must be obeyed') although you could use a dvd from reception if you so wished. Would we stay here again? You bet we would, a fabulous holiday lots and lots of snow and even some sunshine.
