Spent two nights at this hotel on the heart of Robson among shops and restaurants, was able to walk everywhere. Very quiet rooms with super comfortable beds, great views and balconies a nice touch. WiFi, restaurant off looking lobby, reasonable parking in parkade. Rooms had coffee makers, large flat screen, large walk in shower, no bath tub. Front desk helpful as with concierge staff for assistance in restaurants etc. I booked months ago and asked for a view room to English Bay but was not provided this on checkin, as none were available, not very impressed with front desk for this.

Rooms: Spectacular rooms, just as advertised, spacious, brilliant views, luxurious bedding, iPod connection, great TV and seating area with a balcony.
Bathroom / Water: A little disappointed with the bathroom, not as luxurious as the rooms and what really let it down was the hospital style soap dispensers. High end hotels should offer quality toiletries.
Staff: Helpful staff although reception was quite chaotic at times and there was a bit of a wait to check in and check out but the area is quite small for the amount of rooms they have. The concierge were helpful but unfortunately they loaded our taxi to the airport without bags but missed two bags so we had to turn back to collect them all but in fairness we should have double checked.
Cleanliness: Really clean and no complaints.
Hotel facilities: Great onsite bar and eatery. The spa could do with a little tlc, it’s looking tired and old and doesn’t match the general high quality of the hotel.
Food: Onsite although okay there are many other places to eat around.
Bar: standard selection with good service.
Wifi: Very good wifi connection in the rooms.
Local Area: Brilliant location in downtown near to everything.
From the airport: Taxi costs approximately $35
Summary: In general, we loved this hotel and the rooms were fabulous. Just the spa and the hospital style soap dispensers and no offer to help with bags to the room, warranted a 4 rating but they are not major things and I would definitely stay here again, in general a great hotel.

The hotel was clean, very comfortable in bedrooms and provides all the usual facilities. Just a little disappointed by the front desk where staff were not usually as engaging and friendly as in our experience of BC towns outside Vancouver. Their local knowledge was not fantastic. Perhaps they are spread a little thin? A separate concierge facility would be really good for tourists like us.

We booked two rooms - one king size and one queen size - one for ourselves and one for our teenage son. Both rooms were spacious, comfortable, clean and neat. The towels were new and fluffy, which was lovely, and the beds were comfortable. Each room had a Keurig coffee machine, a large screen TV and a safe. The wifi was both free and fast. The hotel itself is situated on Robson street, a shopping lovers dream. They also have parking available in the building, which makes life a whole lot easier if you have your own car. Matthew, the concierge, is a delightfully friendly person who I am sure will become part of the signature of the hotel. There is no room service in the hotel but there are plenty of excellent restaurants within walking distance. Rather than eating breakfast at the in-house restaurant (bad coffee and mediocre meals) we recommend visiting Cafe Crepe just down the street for a huge variety of breakfast options (omelettes, pancakes, full English breakfasts etc) . Also, be sure to ask house cleaning to clean your room early else you may have to wait until 3h30pm for a clean room. And lastly, the higher floors have better views so be sure to ask for a top floor when you make your booking. I would definitely recommend the hotel for convenience and value.

We spent three nights at the Blue Horizon. Our room was spacious. We had two queen beds, a sitting area with two chairs and a table to view the television. The room also came with a refrigerator and microwave. The bathroom was also spacious with a large walk-in shower. We had a view of Robson Street from our balcony and windows.
We had two delicious breakfasts each morning at the hotel restaurant.
The hotel is in a good location on Robson Street. We like to walk, and it was a 15 minute walk to Stanley Park in one direction and a 15 minute walk to Gastown in the other direction. We were staying with another couple who had some mobility issues, and the concierge called us a taxi for our trip to Granville Island. It is too far to walk and public transportation meant taking different buses. The cost for 4 ended up being about the same.
There were several very good restaurants nearby.
