What is in the breakfast bag? Can the hotel provide gluten free breakfast? Will the pool and waterslide really be open in September?

I'll keep it pretty short and sweet. I picked this place because a family member stayed here before. When I look for a hotel room my requirements are a pool and free breakfast.

The room itself was obviously renovated, we had a ground floor two queen room with a balcony. The bathroom is a good size, the room was clean, there were two pillows, hard and soft which was nice. We didn't use the balcony really, but I noticed upper floors got chairs and table outdoors, I'd probably ask for one of those rooms next time.

The pool area was fun, the pool is a good size, the waterslide is a bit too fast for my liking though. It was good nonetheless.

The free breakfast was good, the place was super busy both mornings we were there, the second day we had to take our food back to the room as there were no tables available. Staff were running there to keep the breakfast area stocked, they did a good job.

I would stay there again if I return to Canmore.

My boyfriend and I stayed here while on our vacation trip in the Canadian Rocky Mountains. We stayed at the Fairmont Banff Springs the first 4 nights, but needed to save some money for the rest of our trip. Decided since we had a rental car to drive 10 miles south of Banff to the town of Canmore. It was a short drive back and forth. We stayed at the Best Western Plus - Pocaterra Inn in Canmore. We had a King Bed room with a fireplace and a jetted tub. It was very nice! Had a microwave and refrigerator. $220 per night compared to Fairmont's $720.00. The elevator service wasn't the greatest, (only 1 elevator that runs slow) but for the money savings we dealt with it. Room had updated decor and was very clean and comfortable. The 4th floor guests were given complimentary Rocky Mountain Soap Company toiletries. Free breakfast also provided with stay and it was really good. They had eggs, sausage and potatoes every morning, along with the normal continental breakfast items.

This hotel was clean, well equiped, and the staff was excellent. Unfortunately it was difficult to sleep because of the noise coming from the the sound of doors closing witha very loud click in thehallways. Our neighbors above us (?) were up at 6, with total disregard for anyone else. There is a very nice pool and waterslide, but unfortunately it was monopolized by a large group of adolescents who were completely out of control. I was completely soaked while trying to enjoy a few minutes in the hot tub, and Ihad to pull my grandkidsout of the pool because the older teens were bowling over them on the waterslide. In hindsight, I guess I should have gone to the front desk and complained at the time. I do not blame the hotel or the staff for any of the negatives. I think that our stay would have been very pleasant if not for the large, badly behaved and un-supervised group of teens staying there. I was pleased with the size of our room, and the fireplace was an added bonus. There is a nice gym, and a big games room that had ping pong, fooseball etc. The free breakfast was very nice, and well stocked.

We spent three nights at the BW Pocaterra Inn and were very pleased with the hotel and with Canmore as a base for exploring the Banff/Lake Louise area. The location was convenient, staff very friendly and helpful, beds were particularly comfortable, and the free breakfast buffet offered a good variety of hot and cold items in a lovely room with mountain views. In addition there is a nice indoor pool and a large delightful hot tub. We definitely would recommend the Pocaterra Inn as a pleasant and reasonably-priced place to stay in a popular area.

This hotel is great for kids: pool with a slide and a free breakfast in the morning. Rooms are very comfortable with a lovely fireplace in each one. Clean and very well located. Beautiful views and very friendly staff.

Hi TravelMeAllTheTime, Thank you for your question. The boxed breakfast contains yogurt, a muffin or danish, juice box, a cereal bar and fruit. Coffee and tea are also available. We do not have any gluten free options, but we can offer extra yogurt and fruit and omit the items with gluten. The indoor pool and waterslide are scheduled to re-open in October. Please reach out to our hotel directly if you have any other questions. Kind Regards, - Team Pocaterra Inn & Waterslide
