My boyfriend and I stayed here whilst attending the Wales Comic Con at Wrexham Glyndwr University, and it was absolutely wonderful. Janet was very friendly and welcoming, and she went above and beyond to help us get to and from the event without having to walk through town in our costumes. The room was lovely, and the garden was gorgeous. Also highly appreciated was the cooked breakfast in the morning, which tasted delicious.
Janet is a star. From the moment of arrival to the time of departure, she is welcoming and solicitous. The farm stands in a pretty rural location, in its own yard with proper entrance archway, very close to the Erddig estate. There is a well-tended garden to relax in if the weather is kind. The en-suite room was very clean, quiet and comfortable while, being the sole residents that particular evening, we had the front half of the farmhouse entirely to ourselves and so could fully relax in the residents' lounge.
The cooked breakfast was one of the best I have ever had. Well done, Janet! If it suits you, the packed lunch is simple, though reasonably-priced, but if you are there after the home-made Bara Brith has been baked, then you are in for a treat on your walk. It is delicious!
The one downside was that we could not obtain wifi in the room whilst there, though that did seem to be unusual. However, it was accessible in the dining room.
My wife and I would definitely stay here again.
Comfortable, peaceful, good breakfast From the lovely welcome by Janet to the fine breakfast in a bright dining room, we enjoyed our stay. A good night's sleep in a well appointed room and a good read in the Sitting Room.... and then out to Credit, just down the lane.
We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay at Manor Farm (sorry it's taken us so long to leave our review). We came with our dog, Henry which was no trouble at all Janet was very accommodating. On arrival our room had chocolates for us and a dog treat for Henry which was a lovely touch. The room was spotless and spacious with great views of the garden. Breakfast was delicious, it was difficult to choose what to have as it all sounded tempting. The nearby pubs which were a short drive away were great, overlooking the river. We would def stay here again. Thanks for having us.
We wanted to tour the Erddig House and stay someplace local. We were able to secure a reservation at the Manor Farm. This lovely B&B is located right on the Erddig estate. We had the whole place to ourselves which including the living room, dining area and lovely garden. Breakfast was English perfect. Made friends with the sweet dogs and the cows who were gathering nearby. We wished we had booked longer than an overnight stay.
