We stayed at Hotel Amadeus in June 2019 on a trip with our niece. It was just as advertised...a beautiful hotel in the middle of the the scenic Santa Cruz neighborhood with all of its' winding streets. It makes you feel like you are actually staying in the heart of Seville as opposed to a commercial hotel that could be in any city. The room was the perfect size for our party of 3. The rooftop terrace was a wonderful place to come after a long day of sightseeing, with a refreshing cocktail mixed up by their friendly bartender, complete with wonderful views of the cities' best landmarks. Anna and the other front desk personnel were always so willing to offer directions and suggestions on transportation to the various sights we went off to see. The hotel is an easy walk to all the main sights, including the Cathedral, Alcazar, etc. I highly recommend this hotel for an authentic Sevillian experience!
This hotel was a charming ode to music and musicians. It's centrally located, and pretty easy to find (we arrived Inna cab, so not sure about parking etc as most Seville properties stand on narrow alleys).
The place itself is well-designed and clean. We stayed in the Mozart suite which was had old world charm, was clean and pretty spacious as per Spain/Seville standards. The shower and loos are a tad small.
The first room we were shown- we didn't like so much, so we went for an upgrade. For families travelling with kids, I'd recommend always checking the rooms for size. The staff is helpful and friendly.
The beautifully done rooms near the lobby are worth a walk around..and loved that corner is dedicated to music and musicians.
There's decent breakfast served up in a pretty terrace sorted with tiny orange shrubs:)
The hotel was very easy to find and has a large (if somewhat expensive) private parking lot only a couple of minutes walk away - top tip, head straight to the parking as getting to the hotel by car involves a harrowing voyage through Seville's old town narrow alleyways.
We were greeted by the friendly receptionist and shown to our room, which was large, nicely decorated and extremely clean. The hotel itself maintains a lovely period decor with a lot of old furnishings and is decorated with musical instruments all around, in keeping with its musical name. The breakfast was good value for money at 12 Euros per person.
The only downside during our stay were the works going on in the building next door which woke us up at around 8-830 every morning of our stay, but this was a temporary blemish on an otherwise beautiful property!
Reasonably priced for a wonderful experience. Absolutely lovely hotel. Room was stunning. Beautiful roof terrace. Friendly and helpful staff. Spent an evening just sitting with a drink looking out onto the most wonderful views.
We spent 4 nights in November/December at Hotel Amadeus in a Junior Suite (The Ravel) that was very comfortable, clean and quiet. The location is perfect; no more than a 10 minute walk to the Catedral, the Alcazar and fabulous cafes and restaurants in all directions. The Casa de Flamenco, one of the highlights of Sevilla, is a 3 minute walk. Victoria was so helpful and all the staff were warm and welcoming. We had many questions and they were always helpful and patient. Sevilla won our hearts and next visit, we'll stay at the Amadeus once again. [One small note: the two sofas in our room should probably be cleaned or replaced. It wasn't a deal killer by any means but they were a bit shabby.]
