My family ordered a single rom with three beds. The imagery and bescription of the hotel is fantastic online, and the expectations were high.. On arrival the dissapoinents were everywhere.. the interior is not even close to standard.. the rooms are extremely small, with minimal soundproofing to next door rooms or even the hall.. the rooms are in an very tired, late 70s decor, and it smells like it.. tv? - 20yo and three channels.. wifi? 90s isdn speeds.. There were two positives - the pool and the bathroom. Over to the food - breakfast was the only thing we tried - the cheapest form of everthing. Bacon, powdered eggs, very cheap bread and bad coffee.. This hotel may have been something in the older days, but now - Dont expect much, or stay away..
A traditional style hotel, right on the fjord. We had a very spacious family room for 5, which is so nice to find nowadays! Traditional wooden decor. Very simple/limited breakfast. Swimming pool and nice garden with deck chairs. Most rooms have balconies overlooking the fjord. We enjoyed our 1 night stop over. Staff were friendly.
I found this hotel extremely dated, it was like staying in a room from 20 years ago. The bathroom was incredibly small, the shower was even worse, I could basically wash one leg at a time and definitely could not turn around- and I’m tiny.
Beds were uncomfortable and the mattress kept falling off edge.
The breakfast was extremely below average with very little options.
The only thing that made this stay bearable was the incredible view and the pool. It also has a very nice lounge area and bar downstairs which is nice if you need to escape the small rooms.
We stayed at this hotel for just one night in a beautiful family room for 5 people, overlooking the fjord. It's an old hotel, has no elevator, etc, but it's really cozy and we all loved it!
The biggest minus point was the rather limited breakfast, probably the least good of our two weeks in Norway.
Wifi in the reception area and restaurant was good, but very week in our room in the far corner on the 3rd floor.
Parking is limited, but we had no difficulty finding a spot.
There was an outdoor swimming pool, not sure if it ever gets used with this Norwegian weather we experienced in the last two weeks.
We liked this hotel, nicely situated with nice view and generous social area near the lobby and outside the building by the pool and in the garden. Excellent beds and modern bathroom, at least in the room we stayed in. Very nice service. No scrambled eggs for breakfast though, nothing hot/cooked besides boiled eggs.
When we had a couple of broken lightbulbs in our room they fixed that immediately.
If it wasn't for the expensive rate we paid we would've given them a 4 at least. But for the price we paid you expect more. You expect a little more of everything. We think it was too expensive to put it short.
