Used a 1 night stay deal of a nights accommodation and 2 course dinner and breakfast ($279.00) worked out that the cost of it we prob broke even or saved $20.00 considering we could have got a room by itself for $120. Dinner was nice, waitress very friendly. Steak and the Salmon were our mains and a dessert each after. It didn’t include drinks and a bottle of Ned was $44.00.
Our room was great, and used the small gym too.
Breakfast included a coffee each too on our deal.
Eggs benny was a bit small for the price I thought, not a lot of salmon on small muffin buns.
Overall a great stay.

This is a friendly lovely hotel with the most comfortable beds. Apart from the rooms being freezing when we arrived and taking some hours to warm up making them uncomfortable to be in the rooms were excellent. Clean. Really comfy bed with nice decor, 2 comfy armchairs as well as a nice chair at the desk and bay windows with seating so works well if you have people from other rooms coming in to talk. Lots of lighting and power points for chargers etc. spacious. Once we got the room to temperature the heat pump / air conditioner was nice and warm. Staff were friendly and helpful. Restaurant in site so nice for meals if you want but also kitchen sink and kettles etc in the rooms. We had disabled people in our group and they accommodated them and arranged shower stools for the 2 who needed them and have rooms close to reception for those who don’t like to walk far. One of the group used the gym and said it was small but good. There is a pool that looked lovely but too cold for us to try. Place was quiet, even if you have a roadside room and all in our group said we had good nights sleep. Does need an information leaflet in the room - the reception are really helpful but sometimes you just like to relax in your room looking at options. They had the menu for the restaurant under the glass in the desk and this made it so hard to read. So this and initial heating would be my recommendations for improvement. But these are minor things. We have been here twice now and I would thoroughly recommend it. A lovely hotel, especially as a base to explore the Marlborough wine region.

Room Tip: For those with mobility issues ask for a walk in shower as some have showers over baths.

We had a large and well equipped room with a super bed. No noise outside made for the perfect sleep. Free parking and a short walk to town made it a good location. Staff were pleasant and although we did not use the gym, pool or bar these facilities were available. Perhaps lacking in character, but a great place to stay for a couple of nights.

1. This hotel is well located and a functional hotel but not a long term stay.
2. There were no dressers/storage space in our room.
3. The rooms do not have a secondary lock or chain.
4. Be aware many of the suites are located on busy streets and balconies look out on the parking lot. My view - not worth the cost.
5. The pool is in the middle of the parking lot.
6. The seat on the one bike in the gym is stuck in a high position, so impossible to use if under 6' tall.
7. Front desk staff are wonderful and accommodating.

Hi Mixedreviews, We appreciate your feedback on your recent stay with us. Great to read the positive points off your stay including the location and our wonderful staff. The Hotel is located in the main township, so understandably views are limited. Our balconies do face inside the Hotel overlooking the pool away from the road, and we do get positive feedback on them, especially in summer. We will also look into the gym equipment, as this will be an easy fix. We do thank you for placing your feedback with us, and this is always appreciated. Kind regards Matthew

Centrally located, free parking and spacious rooms. These things all mean a lot to me as a business traveller. This hotel is wonderfully clean and restaurant staff could not have done more to make me happy; the food was lovely too. Not cheap but worth it. Good quality bathroom products and a good shower added to the experience.
A small but adequate pool was looking clean and cared for; I didn’t use it as it was a cold night! The gym was small but had everything I needed for a quick work out; Hotels with gyms are not common in NZ and I find it to be a real bonus if you travel a lot.
My only small criticism is the pillows. A pillow menu is advertised but my 4 pillows were all the same and not to my liking. But pillows are a very personal thing and I’m fussy with pillows!
Definitely a place I will look to use again next time I’m in the area.

Thank you for your very positive review which I will be delighted to share with the team. For your next visit (and I trust there will be one) you just need to ring reception and ask for a pillow from the menu. This will be delivered to your room. Thank you again.
