This is a friendly lovely hotel with the most comfortable beds. Apart from the rooms being freezing when we arrived and taking some hours to warm up making them uncomfortable to be in the rooms were excellent. Clean. Really comfy bed with nice decor, 2 comfy armchairs as well as a nice chair at the desk and bay windows with seating so works well if you have people from other rooms coming in to talk. Lots of lighting and power points for chargers etc. spacious. Once we got the room to temperature the heat pump / air conditioner was nice and warm. Staff were friendly and helpful. Restaurant in site so nice for meals if you want but also kitchen sink and kettles etc in the rooms. We had disabled people in our group and they accommodated them and arranged shower stools for the 2 who needed them and have rooms close to reception for those who don’t like to walk far. One of the group used the gym and said it was small but good. There is a pool that looked lovely but too cold for us to try. Place was quiet, even if you have a roadside room and all in our group said we had good nights sleep. Does need an information leaflet in the room - the reception are really helpful but sometimes you just like to relax in your room looking at options. They had the menu for the restaurant under the glass in the desk and this made it so hard to read. So this and initial heating would be my recommendations for improvement. But these are minor things. We have been here twice now and I would thoroughly recommend it. A lovely hotel, especially as a base to explore the Marlborough wine region.
Room Tip: For those with mobility issues ask for a walk in shower as some have showers over baths.
