My stay was very nice! Good breakfast hot coffee and tea! Nice clean room very good bathrooms! This is not a 4or 5 star hotel but well worth the price! We had a city tour the churches are awesome! Not too far from shopping and good food! Would go back!
There are a few issues with this hotel. It is far from the main square and most of the things to do in Cusco. That wasn't awful, as I'm happy to walk. The included breakfast was dismal. Very little to eat and often completely barren if you arrived after 8AM. But by far the worst is the noise from the karaoke bar across the street. It is a constant barrage of very loud music after dark that makes sleeping difficult, especially if you have a room facing the street.
Stayed for 2 nights in between Machu Picchu trip. Location v close to Cuzco's main artisan market so great for shopping, 15min walk uphill to Temple of Sun (note since high altitude- that is a V long 15min). Staff friendly and helpful, rooms big with good hot water + water pressure, breakfast decent variety for Peru. Cons: no cups in room for bathroom/room, period (seriously, just stock 4 paper cups from the lobby in each room so we dont have to go down to the lobby at night please), VERY strong smell of insect repellant in rooms (#504, 304 etc etc- the older ladies in my group were a bit dizzy from it and didn't know what to do about it for both days), need more mirror in room plus stronger wifi (literally had to sign on/off 4 times since so unstable- get mesh wifi or more wifi extenders please- its not great to have to go to ground lobby all the time for stable signal). Would consider the hotel again if all fixed but for now would only recommend if you have no other nearby alternative of comparable price point.
Our 3-night stay at Hotel Warari was arranged by our tour operator. This cozy little hotel is located a few blocks away from the center of Cuzco. Our clean and comfortable room was located in the fourth floor of this hotel . An elevator was available in this hotel. However, the room felt little crowded with three adults. We had warm and delicious breakfast (included with the room) in the breakfast area on the second floor. On the day of our visit to Machu Pichu, our tour operator picked us up from the hotel early in the morning at 5 AM. As we waited eagerly for the trip in the hotel lobby, we were pleasantly surprised when the =lobby attendant delivered packaged breakfasts to savor on our long day trip. Two good restaurants serving Peruvian dishes are located across the street from this hotel An enclosed market place with hawkers peddling hand-crafted Peruvian goods is just couple of blocks away from this hotel. Some good eateries serving inexpensive Peruvian dishes for lunch are located in this market place. The only minor complaint we have about our hotel room was that we had to wait a long period for hot water to flow through the tap during =showers. On the overall, we had a pleasant and memorable stay at Hotel Warari in Cuzco.
Hotel is located near centre of Cusco which is only a 15 month walk. It’s basic needs an update. However the location is handy. But that’s where the good points end. No heating in room which makes it very cold. Sometimes hot shower sometimes not it’s a lottery. The staff at first appeared accommodating but due to an incident beyond our control we didn’t not arrive Til 3am. No information given re check out but phone call at 830 telling me to leave. When I told them what had happened which affected the whole group of 20 people their attitude was tough we need the rooms as they are booked later. Noisy venues nearby and hallways carry all the noise and you can hear everything. Plus glass window above the door means every time someone turns on the hallway light your hole room lights up. For me one to avoid
