Located 10 minutes outside of the center on a hill.
Staff is nice and friendly. The whole interior looks like there's still some work to be done. For example, we couldn't even close our bathroom door because it was broken. But apart from that our room was clean.
A big plus was the terrace. You could spend some time there, making plans for the day, having breakfast or simply enjoying one of the local beers. ;)
Clean room and bathroom, nice location, 5 min walk from Bascarsija, old town. Private and free parking with cameras! Hosts was polite and friendly! Open for any questions. Great view from top of the hostel. Wifi works fine in every part of hostel. It was really nice trip :)
The room was clean, although a bit cold. If you come in winter ask for extra heater. Bathroom was really good, wi fi solid. Nice view across the river from the balcony. Breakfast poor, but a lot of places nearby to have a meal. Good location, about 15 min walk to old quarter Bashcharshija. Overall, ok for one night stay.
Stayed for 3 nights in double room with private bathroom at Hostel Like. The room was a decent size and even had enough room for a table and chairs in the corner. Was also a TV and cupboard with plenty of room for hanging any clothes up. Wifi was free and very good throughout our stay.
The hostel is in a good location up a slight hill, just outside of Bascarsija, Sarajevo's historical and cultural centre of the city. But close enough to walk too, only around a 10 minutes walk away. A benefit of the location is the great views you have of the city from bedroom windows and also the breakfast area (we didn't have the breakfast option so can't comment on that). Also nearby is the Yellow Fortress which is just over a 5 minutes walk away further up the hill and I highly recommend a visit there to relax and enjoy the views where there's a little seating area and place selling some drinks and food!
The only negative thing about the stay was the tap in the bathroom which barely worked, just about got it stronger than a drip occasionally while sometimes it just didn't work at all which resulted in us having to use the shower attachment to wash our hands. We reported it twice and nothing was done about it.
Overall, I would recommend Hostel Like and would stay again if returning to Sarajevo, would however ask for a different room straight away if given same one and the tap hadn't been sorted out.
This Hostel has just changed management, before it was a Pension, now it position itself as an Hostel, but it is definitely not. I'd say it is still a Pension, so if you are a backpacker do not expect to find other youngsters, but you'll find family.
Service is really friendly and at the arrival I was offered a rakyia (local spirit...watch out more than 40 degrees!).
The hostel is 500 meters away from the Vijecnica (Sarajevo former Town Hall), but it is not in the city center.
I would definitely reccommend this place if you are looking for a cheap individual/double room.
I paid 25 euro per night for a double room, and I am completely satisfied about that.
