Hotel George has a great location, so you can get to the most attractive places in few minutes. The staff is caring and friendly, our room was spacious and stylish, good breakfast. So, we liked everything in this hotel and w're looking forward to next stay here.
Hotel George is located in the center of the old town. It is easy to walk into the tourist and historic areas and retreat to the quiet of the hotel. It is a short walk to the opera house. Staff speaks English and were quick to reply by email. I needed a hotel confirmation sent to the border guard on Ukraine/Romania frontier and the staff was quick to respond and made the crossing easy. I was riding a bicycle and the sttaff allowed my to bring my bicycle into the hotel and keep it locked ina safe area. I also left excess baggage stored at the hotel during my trip of three weeks and returned to find it well cared for and safe. On each departure out of the city the staff supplied me with a healthy bag lunch of sandwiches and yogurt, juice and extras. The room was spacious and comfortable and clean and the cleaning staff kept the room looking great.
Stayed here 2 nights. It is well located in the Old Town and walking distance to tourist sites, great restaurant, and shopping. Room I was in was a suite with high ceiling. air conditioning, and a beautiful clean big bathroom with robe, hair dryer, etc. Free internet, friendly staff. Elevator is tiny. The buffet breakfast is adequate for me, but the dinners served here are delicious.
Staff again very helpful and pleasant. Room was really nice with lots of character. Apparently it is the oldest hotel in Lviv and has not changed much. I was a delight to stay there. Buffet breakfast was good. Nice place to stay.
It's really spacious and the double staircase reminiscent of former glories! The reception staff were efficient and friendly. The hallways were quite faded, but the rooms have been done up. There are plenty of toiletries in the bathroom and room cleaning is done well. Also, plenty of space in the bedrooms. There is no aircon, so we had the window open at night and as ours sided on to a main road, it was noisy. Unlike many guests, we were not so impressed with breakfast. The coffee machine very erratic and coffee wasn't great. There was plenty of choice for breakfast, although fruit had usually run down (and we didn't eat late). We didn't eat at night here so can't comment.
The big bonus is how central the hotel is: just 5 minutes to Rynok Square.
