I stayed here for one night as part of a group tour. The hotel is in a good location and the centre of Byblos is easily walkable, along with the main historical sight. The hotel has its own section of beach in front which would have been lovely had it not been December and thunder storming.
We had a twin room which was decent enough, not luxury but perfectly clean and acceptable, what you'd expect from a 3 star hotel. The bathroom was also clean and had a bath tub with a shower in it. We also had a balcony which again would have been great if we had the weather for it.
The breakfast at this hotel was passable, not fantastic but edible. There wasn't masses of choice but it was far from awful.
Overall I would recommend this hotel if you're looking for somewhere that's well located and decent enough in Byblos.
Ahiram Hotel in Byblos was a great sea view hotel with clean rooms. My room was small and on a corner with small balcony but still gave lovely sea views. The air conditioning was very good and the wifi worked well, though you need a different code for reception to that in your room. The bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast was very good, not as much choices in some hotels but different, liked the fried eggs served in rolls and loved the fig jam. Coffee was not the best and a limited choice of tea bags, also the water was in a water cooler which was not as nice than if it had been in jugs. Great to sit on the terrace though, but some garden upkeep needed as the grasses were obscuring the view. The lift is archaic with no safety door and the walk into town is on an unlit road so torches are required for personal safety.
The service in this hotel was outstanding!! Felt just like home! The lovely ladies at reception were very helpful in providing information on the local area and went above meeting my expectations - by preparing healthy meals and upgrading my room for a beautiful beach view!
The hotel was in prime location and easy access to beach and restaurants.
I would definitely recommend this stay and thank the staff for making me feel like just at home .
Better than a 5 star hotel service. I found my new home away from home. The staff was immediately like my good friends. I originally made my stay for 2 nights and ended up staying more. The view from my balcony was worth plenty. And I love the beach life. In my first night, I wanted to go to the Greek Festival and despite having a google map and directions - which I forgot in the room. Guess it was meant to be because I ended up being shown a tour with El and Zak to the festival and around Jbeil town - through the old souks, pubs, marina, castle, and last by not least UNESCO site etc. The service equally hospitable. I purposefully planned this hotel and sea view from balcony over a month ago and will be my room in my future stays here. Thanks very much to all. Elvire, Eddie, Zak, George,, Christine, Christian, Mustafa and the owners: Joe and Kareem. If I miss anyone’s names- not intentional. See you next time.
an extra night as it was hard to leave.
The hotel hits most of the buttons. It is less than a five minute walk from the old city. It is close to the water so the views are great seaside. A welcome orange juice for the group was appreciated after a long day. I did not use it but my room had a balcony. It did not operate on a keycard so you could leave the room and have stuff continue to charge. The room was of adequate size. The hotel is down a side street so rather quiet. The breakfast was fine, including Lebanese java. You can have dinner at the hotel if so inclined.
