We stayed in this hotel for about two weeks and were looking for a sunny and quiet location on the Turkish coast. Sunny – yes. Quiet – not really.
Gumbet itself is close to the bigger town of Bodrum The beach strip is wall to wall sunbeds in front of hotels and bars which front the beach. Very popular with British and Irish tourists - enjoying the sun and the odd lemonade or three.
The Bodrum Nova Apart Hotel is two blocks back from the beach but still surrounded by many cafes and shops. Its location means it’s not as hectic as the beach front – but only a 5 minute walk away if that’s your preference.

House-keeping management and staff were very professional and friendly and the room was always cleaned well and the staff helpful. The reception, food and beverage staff were also very helpful and friendly.
Breakfasts were included and were typically Turkish in their selection. They were delicious and offered a wide variety.
Day-to-day management of the hotel seemed a bit hit and miss and appeared at times to be very disorganised (other than house-keeping). Friendly persistence seemed to pay dividends.
In all, a good hotel that could do with a bit of organisation skills at the top – and a word to the café owner opposite about the volume of his music into the wee small hours ……
Room Tip: Rooms facing away from the beach are quieter (relatively speaking) but then don't get the...
