Stayed with Fiancée for 2 weeks at a newer City Hotel location in Ikeja about 20 mins from the mall. The Hotel was secure, rooms looked new and they were clean. Shower worked and towels and toiletries were provided thru out stay. Hair dryer in bathroom 🙂 with wall outlet next to mirror thumbs up! Air condition worked excellent and screens on windows. Rainy season and not one mosquito in room 😬Staff were very polite and attentive. Only complaint the bed was very hard and food selection limited to mostly Nigerian Dishes.

Stayed at this hotel for full 2 weeks. We have arrived on Saturday to be told we had no room because the hotel has been fully booked regardless that I had an email confirmation from the hotel that the room was booked and ready for our arrival. We end up spending one night in a different hotel which was very low standards.

When we were ready to pay the room a higher rate has been presented to us than the agreed rate during booking. I was so glad to have the print out of my reservation with me eitherwise we would have pay more. Our reservation included breakfast but the breakfast stuff kept saying that is complimentary for only one person so one of us had to pay. Again to my benefit my reservation print out came to rescue me arguing further.

We had dinner one night and the cost was N11,300 we have requested to pay the next day as we had no cash left, next day we ask to pay and the cost of the bill presented was N12,300 if it was not my wife that took a picture of the bill the night before we would have again argue or pay more than we should.

It is really bad that people try to use any ways possible to extract monie from you.

Music was the biggest problem especially for my wife being a very light sleeper. They have been parties and weddings in the hotel basement almost every night. The hotel is not build well to manage the noise levels when the music was on the whole room was vibrating. the music stopped around 3-4am most of the days except a Friday that continued until 7am.

Did not enjoy my stay at all and I will never choose this hotel again.

A found this after a quick trip to Ikeja, Lagos. Spent 3 nights in a big luxurious room reminiscent of a modern stately manor. The bar was all the buzz tweeted about the vodka orange and got validation retweets, clearly other customers knew what i was talking about. Room service was exceptional, the food was good and the beers always served in a chilled glass. The free breakfast was a mix of continental and Nigerian favorites, brilliant. Before i settled here a searched out other luxury offerings along the Allen Avenue axis of Ikeja and this is clearly the best. Will stay here again.
