Last April, we went to Tagaytay and abruptly decided to book in a hotel for overnight stay. Unfortunately, almost all hotels are fully booked that day. As we drive along the way, we saw The Over Look Inn near the rotonda. I asked if there is still available room for 4, and YES it has. Their accommodation rates was a bit pricey (compared to others na may valid reason to be costly kasi worth it naman talaga) in consideration of the ff:
ROOM: Not clean including the cabinet w/c is TOO DUSTY. You can hear the noise from the hallway inside the room.
BATHROOM: Good. However, the foot rug is dirty and it seems they don't have plan to change it so we requested for a new one, but they gave us DIRTY OLD RUG. How disappointing.. 😑
FOOD: Nothing special. We didn't enjoy the food actually.
STAFF: No initiative, not friendly and accommodating.
POOR SERVICE!!! 😒
VIEW: Far away from the Taal volcano. The inn itself is covered by (2) buildings beside it, making it hard for us to view the Taal Volcano. Total loss of ambiance.
Everything is OVERLOOKED. Won't go back here anymore.
The Inn has quite an apt name: OVERLOOK. The hotel staff managed to overlook the basic needs of guests. Their so-called family room is too small. They don't clean your room unless you tell them to. And even if you do, you have no assurance that they will actually clean it. The hotel staff shows no initiative in making sure that your stay is pleasant. I absolutely would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone.
LENGTH OF STAY: 6 nights
SERVICE: Minimal to non-existent. Room and bath was cleaned only once during the entire stay. Staff did not clean the room even when a request was made.
ROOM: It was called a family room that would not fit four persons. Two queen sized beds in between which was space big enough for a backpack. Less than a foot of space between bed and TV and Ref. Toilet and bath are in one space, little bigger than a closet. Curtain separates toilet and bath. Shower wets entire bathroom floor. TV remote not fully functional.
Staff: 3 stars, average
Place: 3 stars, the room is generally clean but I found a cockroach on the floor. :( No ironing/laundry service
Food: N/A, We did not eat there
View: 5, awesome view of the Taal Lake
Value for money: Very costly
Stayed in over look inn last feb 15. We were in tagaytay during that time and we just decided to stay overnight, luckily there is an available room here as most of the hotels in tagaytay are fully booked during that time.
The location is good because its just beside bag of beans but the parking is small, it can only accomodate a few cars. The veranda at the back offers a stunning view of taal volcano.
We stayed in one of the rooms located in the second floor. The room is just okay for us, not that big but not that small either. The bed was a bit hard. Aircon was working well. TV reception and channels was also good though very limited channels to choose from. There is no telephone inside the room, so you have to go down to the reception area if you need anything. Hot water was working fine in the bathroom.
Breakfast was just a piece of hotdog, egg and 2 slices of bread with either coffee or juice.
