My wife and I took a three day get away for our anniversary and stayed at The Black Cockatoo, the Tiger cottage's room was clean and tidy and good value, quiet and private, there was a decent size carton of milk in the fridge, the air conditioner was a bonus for the warm night too! the hosts were discreet but willing to have a friendly chat and help out when asked for little things or advice on local activities.... there are some pleasant drives surrounding Nannup to other towns.

Situated approx 100mtrs from the main street this was ideal for our overnight visit. We stayed in the Tiger Room with our two dogs, which were made most welcome by the owner. The Tiger Room has everything you need and want, being self contained. It rained most of the night & we received an unexpected hail storm, but we were all cosy.
No hesitation in recommending The Black Cockatoo to anyone contemplating a stay in the Nannup region.

I had the pleasure of staying 5 nights in the Garden Studio on a 'get away from it all' break from the city. I'd wanted somewhere quiet and private, with a garden (didn't have to be a fancy one, just plants and trees!), not too expensive and not too far away from a good coffee and lunch. This place was perfect!
The shared bathroom is about 10 steps away so no bother and omg the water is hot! Heater in the room was welcome when the night got chilly and the bed was super comfy.
I was on my own and the space was perfect, may have struggled to fit another person's stuff in though (I was well equipped for 5 nights:).
The birds are amazing to watch from the little porch and flowers and mushrooms are everywhere. They even put a gardenia flower in a vase for me by the bed which smelled divine!
Throughly recommended if you like privacy, nature and good value :)

We stayed here 2 nights, one on the way to Albany and one on the return trip.
1st night was the tent option. It was clean and comfortable and fine for one night. We liked the fact it had real beds and not just camp beds.
The 2nd night we had the jungle cabin. It smelt musty, the shared bathroom on the site was cleaner than the one in the cabin. With the nights getting dark early we couldn't go for a walk so decided to relax and watch TV ....which is in the bedroom!
Totally not a nice place....couldn't get out quick enough in the morning.

Just as described , Thee Black Cockatoo is relaxing and quite .
Checking in took less then one minute and surprised buy what the Tiger room had to offer , we felt at home after an hour of being there . totally left alone and saw some interesting creatures of the night on our stay .great location.
Good bang for our buck also.
