We were looking for a reasonably priced place to stay in Adirondacks area near Lake George over the Memorial day weekend. We found Dillon Hill through Trip Advisor, liked what we saw on their website, surprisingly it was available, Mike and Nina were both very friendly and courteous over the phone and we decided on it.
First thing we liked about the Inn was its proximity to Lake George, Gore mountain, scenic drives but at the same time not located right in the middle of the town. The Inn is surrounded by lots of trees and a nicely landscaped lawn. This is exactly what we were looking for but could not make out from the pics and it was a pleasant surprise. Overall the place is better than the pics on the website. The interior of the Inn is very warm and welcoming. Rooms are amazingly clean and well maintained.
The common area is very cosy with lot of clean, comfortable couches, a fireplace, books, games and a piano as well. We wished we stayed longer than the one night! The screened porch next to the breakfast room was an endearing spot to have the excellent morning coffee. Nina was very accomodating and went the extra mile to provide a special veggie breakfast.
Mike and Nina are a genuine and warm couple, were great hosts, interacted nicely with us and tried to bond the visitors which made it an interesting experience as well. They were very helpful with lot of recommendations and suggestions. We would definitely LOVE to go back..
