Groceries, trails, restaurants, brewery and the town of Trinity are easily accessed by car. The trails are great

We stayed here for one night while visiting port rexton brewery for Trivia night! It was a very cheap stay for a 2 bedroom suite which made up for how dated the place actually was. It does look like the outside has been recently updated so perhaps inside is next. The beds were comfy and it was fairly clean, we did notice a lot of bugs though. It was walking distance to the brewery, quiet and comfortable. Exactly what we needed and paid for.

Wanted to see a few places in central Newfoundland on our trip from St. John's to Deer Lake and St. Anthony. Thought Trinity would be a good stopping point to spend the afternoon there, then go to Elliston for puffins and Cape Bonavista. We only wanted one night and most of the accomodations in Trinity seem to be owned by one group who require a 2 night stay, so we decided to try Sherwood Suites. We weren't expecting much, so were pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness of the cabin that appeared fairly recently redone. It was roomy, kitchen apparently fairly well outfitted (though I didn't cook there, just cereal and coffee for breakfast), shower was good. No complaints except perhaps the uncomfortableness of the sofa - very straight back and ultra firm cushions - but the queen bed was adequately comfortable. We arrived about 8 PM and office was locked, no one answered the phone, so we looked up the cabin # on the confirmation email and found it unlocked with the key on the table. When we left about 10 the next day, the outer office door was unlocked but no one was inside. We found a place to hang keys, drove back to the cabin to get the key and hang it up, spoke to a woman who said she'd tell the owners we'd left. So never met anyone there but at least we didn't have to sleep in the car.
Certainly a decent, reasonably priced, and convenient option for a night or two, at least.

We stayed for 3 nights in #20, a one bedroom suite at the top of the property, one of 8 attached motel-like units, each with a deck in front and a treed view below. Our suite was clean, spacious, and comfortable with all the basics we needed for our stay. We appreciated having a full kitchen with a table and chairs in front of the window. The bed was comfortable, the wi-fi worked well, and the staff was friendly and offered towels, etc. during our stay. The location is easy to find and makes a good base for exploring Trinity, Elliston, Bonavista, and hiking the Skerwind Trail (a must do!). We found the accommodation to be good value and would stay there again.

We had a reservation for three nights but liked Port Rexton so much and were so relaxed and comfortble at the Sherwood Suites that we stayed an extra night. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment. Convenient kitchen, very comfortable beds, handy laundry facilities. Very close to all the great things the Bonavista Penninsula has to offer. Highly recommended and I hope to return next year. This is a great deal, for the price of one room at a hotel you get loads of space and can cook your own food. What a deal!
