We had a fabulous time at Adventures East Campground, staying in the 2 bedroom cottage. The unit was well equipped and thought out. Beds were very comfortable with a tower fan in each bedroom, hooks for hanging clothes and towels, a narrow sofa table which allowed for space to tuck gear below and above and all kinds of pillows, which was perfect for us. The shower had great water pressure and we had a lot of towels with staff replenishing our supply the next morning. The main living area was spacious with a new sofa bed and flat screen Roku TV. The kitchen was well equipped with the essentials and lots of storage, making food prep a breeze. There was a fantastic BBQ with range burner, picnic table and an awesome outdoor covered porch/deck - we were lucky to have sun during our trip but this would be ideal on rainy days to allow for BBQ'ing and sitting outside. The pool was heated and well taken care of. The staff are friendly and helpful. The location for exploring Cape Breton is ideal - you can't go wrong with this choice for your vacation.

We were visiting Cape Breton for Celtic Colours so had booked 10 nights and at first were not sure whether it was what we wanted but we grew to enjoy it. A log cabin with nothing fancy - living room furniture that needs updating - a tiny TV on a dish that was a bit of a pain - WiFi that came and went but maybe tht was a good thing. We were out every day by noon until late evening so we didn't miss it. The beds were great! The shower was good! Kitchen well supplied for those meals we wanted to eat there. Worked well for us at we used it as a base to travel to concerts all over Cape Breton - we could sleep in and take our time in the morning as each day was busy with events.

Room Tip: There are only 3 cabins in this large campground and we like the 2 bedroom.

We stayed in one of the one bedroom cottages at Adventures East. It was a very cute and cosy cottage and included a kitchenette which was very nice. The location was relatively central for general Cape Breton activities but a bit far from Cape Breton National Park.

Four of us stayed in one of the two-bedroom log cabins, which included bathroom, kitchenette, and living room/dining area. Very cosy and clean, and although the campground is just off the main highway, the site is well sheltered with trees, and you can hardly hear the road. We had two days to see the Cabot Trail, and the staff at the campground were very helpful when it came to planning our route and activities.

We stayed with our 2 kids in a 1-bedroom cabin. It was clean, quiet and perfect for our needs. The location is great, as the entrance is right off the highway near the Big Red Barn (fantastic gift shop & restaurant), but the cabins are far enough back that it's not noisy at all. Would definitely stay there again!
