This past weekend my wife and I stayed here for our first visit to Charleston. We had to wait for 15 minutes to check in due to the front desk person be absent. This was a poor introduction to the hotel. Once we checked in the we found the room to be great. The bar was nice but we noticed that the front desk person was constantly missing and the bartender had to apologize constantly for his absence while the check in line was getting longer and irate. After we checked out i left my suit coat there and called back when we were driving home. I called constantly with nobody answering the phone. We know why, the front desk guy was gone again. Once Chris finally answered, he promised to work with housekeeping staff to give us an update on the jacket with a call back. He never called back. Finally, at almost 11pm he suggested that I call back the next day. By that time, the next uest could have taken the jacket. Two days later with over 20 calls with not one call back or any notes taken, the front desk person finally answers and puts me on hold to let me know that no jacket was turned in. As a BonVoy member, we are very disappointed in the customer service and will never stay here again. We are also thinking of cancelling our BonVoy and move to another hotel brand with better service. Steer very clear of this property
Booked this hotel after leaving downtown Charleston. Blown away by the amazing staff. Hotel is modern, chic, clean, and safe. Rooms are new and very clean. Awesome in room accommodations as well. One of the best stays I’ve ever experienced.
Nothing is perfect and I don't search for perfection. No microwave in our room, there was trash in our room sticking out from under the loveseat. Other than that, we had a quiet and pleasant stay. There was one employee that stuck out to us who goes by the name "mama." My son is seven years old and he clung to see her in the mornings when we went down for gym, reading time and breakfast. To have something to look forward to while not being at home is a beautiful thing. What an employee to have working for this establishment! She would be the reason why we would stay again.
One of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed at! Only a year old and still has that "new" feel to it! Lisa was extremely nice checking us in and so was all the other staff. Loved the pool and the room was fabulous!! Super clean! Highly recommend this Marriott property. Will definitely stay here again!
I spent the 2 days of hurricane Dorian at this amazing hotel in a gorgeous suite. Can't say enough good about the room, the food in their gourmet restaurant, the excellent service. Every member of the staff bent over backwards to make sure i had everything I needed and even more. They made the whole thing fun and created a friendly environment where guests felt at ease and we all had a great time. They will be my go to hotel.
