This place got a piece of my heart. I fall in love with this place at the first sight. I love everything about this place. The customer service is fantastic. The manager and the staff are very friendly. If you like to be around nature this place is the perfect one. What I like more about this place is being able to listen to the wave of the ocean while I was in my room. Oh I forget to mention the food, Oh! the food is so delicious. So if you are thinking about visiting Jacmel, this is the best place to stay. You will not regret, you will have a great experience
This was our first time staying at the hotel but we already expected that we would love it from visiting the restaraunt and using the pool many times, we were just waiting for the opportunity to stay. Everything about this hotel is beyond beautiful from the swimming pool and surrounding greenery, the little private and secluded beach cove to the view from the restaurant which is breath taking. I love the food and menu and have never had a disappointing meal and have probably eaten there upwards of twenty times. I also had the most delicious fresh mango juice which I would highly recommend.
We stayed in the basic room to accomadate three of us but there was nothing ‘basic’ about it, firstly they gave us a selection of two rooms a garden view or ocean front so ofcourse we chose ocean front and were literally steps from the ocean, outside there were two rocking chairs to listen to the waves crashing at night, and inside there was everything you would need, there was only a fan and not AC but this worked sufficiently. I can’t wait to return and try a different room next time.
We went to Cyvadier in Jacmel and it was all good. The staff although not very smiley turned out to be very nice and helpful. Their espresso smells delicious and the breadfruit croquettes are worth trying. We were there for 2 nights but ended up spending 3 because there were protests in the streets and it wasnt safe to leave the premises. Instead of getting charged $80 for a late check in we opted to stay an extra night. It is worth mentioning that the owner was ready to make a consideration charging us $60 instead of full price if we had to stay an additional night because of the political unrest circumstances.
He was chatty and nice.
The hotel has cute little spots to hang out by and chill. Employees dont seem happy tho' . Food takes a little time. I liked that they served fruits for breakfast which was included in the price. Watch out for the late check in and the stairs in the pool ! You're gonna wanna take a room with AC.
My friend and I went to Cyvadier. We arrived at night. The front desk guy wasn't friendly and acted like he was being bothered. We were just asking basic questions before booking. I am not sure if he was having a bad night or what. My friend then asked if she could see the room first. He said no. He also said there was no TV in the room (not not we cared or would be watching anyways but it's 2018. Why would a Hotel Room not have a TV?). That would be fine, but then he said no double beds either. At that point on he wasn't interested in talking to us at all. We ended up leaving and went to Cap Lamandou right up the street. they have doubled beds, TV, killer view and all. And the lady who checked us in was nice and did so with a smile & had no issue showing us a similar room to what she would give us. Too bad we could not stay at Cyvadier. Train your Front Desk agents to b more friendly.
We fell in love with this place on sight. The situation is wonderful on a gorgeous cove (though not much use for sea swimming). The room was fine except that the toilet did kit flush and the water was very reluctant to run away from the washbasin. But the staff were a delight and the grilled lobster terrific. I am sure they have fixed ours bathroom!
