We stopped for a night on our way from Italy. The hotel is clean but time shows it ´s influence. The property is shabby and used. The corner room on the 1 St floor views roof of the toilets below - refuse it if possible.
Breakfast was good, sufficient, the lady In the dining room friendly and nice. The ľady ťat the reception rather cold.
It is a pet friendly hotel so be prepared for dogs barking when you want to sleep - which was our case.
Location - far from the centre In a quiet place . If you do not have dinners paid In the hotel - it takes cca 20 min. to the centre where there are restaurants or fast Food and shops. Or the car is needed. Overpriced for what it is.

Hotel Garni Wurzer has a wonderful location situated about 5minutes from Velden center by car and 20minutes if walking. The hotel is comfy, offering a really tasty breakfast and a nice swimming pool area. The staff at the hotel is good and really try hard to assist your needs. Now, to the problematic part. Very bad wifi, works only in the reception area. The rooms though super clean have somewhat old furniture which per se is not a bad thing, but once everything creaks it doesn't make for a nice experience. The walls are literally the opposite of soundproof, the bathroom doesn't have (a working) vent system and the cleaning ladies try to ambush your room at already about 9 am in the morning, preferably when one is still sleeping. I was also pretty disappointed with the private beach area they're offering. It's tiny (for six people max) and you have to reserve in advance.
Overall, staying at the hotel was a pleasant experience, but a little more comfort would not hurt.

Off the beaten track lovely views but shabby. On arrival we were shown to our room comfortable with a nice outlook. Overnight we had a tremendous thunder storm all electrics were off for a couple of hours and basically it was quite uncomfortable. During the night we thought we had a few mosquitos in the room but on putting the light on we found we had been invaded by giant wasps which I have since discovered were hornets and they were dive bombing the bed. We had no sleep and were most uncomfortable when finding the nest was above the door to our room.
An expert came to destroy the nest but there were several more. As we were only there for 4 nights and I was very unsettled we moved on early.
If this had been the only problem I would have said it was one of those things but the room was filthy behind the bed and doors it was disgusting.
My main thing was the breakfast room was upstairs above our room and from 6am was a constant banging around and if there for a rest there was no chance.
Also the room maid decided to enter our room on several occasions whilst we were in bed. even when catching my partner naked it did not deter her to doing the same the next day. I booked this through booking.com and gave a favourable report but looking at all the places we stayed during our European trip this was the worst and the most expensive.

The staff of the hotel is very friendly, delicious and various breakfast (at least 4-5 types of cheese, ham, bread, fruit salad, fresh vegetables, hot eggs, tasty coffee, yougurt, pate, etc). The breakfast room has so wonderful panoramic view over the sea!! The rooms are large and most of them have good view over the lake. There is also a good swimming pool and parking free of charge.Wi-fi is good just in the room. You can also rent the bike here in the hotel. It is the good value for money! The hotel is situated not on the Main Street of Velden, but it is not the big problem. The big plus of the hotel-is the privat beach free of charge!!
