From the moment you arrive on the property, you feel relaxed and welcome. On this rural farm we felt at home with a welcome drink (alcoholic or non, as you wish) on our own patio area outside our room (Ouessant). Our room was large, clean, comfortable and well appointed. The large breakfast was a real treat and the hens who provided our fresh eggs scratched around outside the window. Anne is a most gracious host. We went into Sainte-Marine for a wonderful seafood dinner and wish we had more time to explore this part of Brittany. The large, desserted beach at the end of the road by the farm is made for walking. We hope to return.
My wife and I visited this B & B staying for two days to re-explore the area we had not been for some 30 years! We were not disappointed. We eventually located La Ferme , the satnav was not wholly helpful the property been located in a very quiet location and only a short drive from the most superb sandy beach. The property has been furbished to a very high standard and our room ( Belle Isle ) was very comfortable. Breakfast was wholly adequate but a wee bit fussy for my taste but did not detract from the enjoyment of our short stay. Please note this B&B does not have a card machine so please ensure you are armed with cash!!! Recommended.
We loved our host Anne and all of the ways she made our stay relaxing and comfortable. We enjoyed the incredible breakfasts (full of home-made products), the quiet and comfortable room. One late afternoon we sat at the table in the garden with a drink, watched the chickens, and admired the flowers. We walked into Saint Marine using the forest paths, it took about a half hour - so much better than driving there. Thank you Anne for a wonderful three days.
This charming old cider farm has been fully renovated with great taste. Everything is perfect, from the nice garden with beautiful trees, flowers and funny looking hens. The rooms are all different and great looking. The living room for breakfast is also amazing.
The hostess is very much looking after her guests, giving really good advice about what to see in the region and where to eat, and there is a lot to do.
The breakfast is excellent, with pastries, a different cake every day, special desert or yogurt, fresh fruit juice, and great tea.
The only little inconvenience was the cleaning of the room every two days, but that was really minor.
We would love to go back.
We stayed five nights in the Groix room. Big, comfortable bed, big en suite, loads of wardrobe space, view over the garden. The breakfasts were fantastic, with something different every morning to complement the croissants and home-made jams: fresh berries and/or fruit, crepes, cured ham, cheese, smoked salmon, yoghurts, and plenty of juice, tea and coffee. And the owner offered us boiled eggs every morning from her own hens.
The location is about 250m from the D4 road, which is not busy, so it's quiet and very convenient for eating out in Ste Marine or Bénodet (there's no safe or well-lit walking route, so you have to drive or get a taxi).
The owner, Anne, was very friendly and helpful, with tips on where to eat and places to see, and she loves Celtic music. We'll definitely be going back on our next trip to Finistere.
