So we used this hotel for some day tripping. City Area was nice. Rooms were recently renovated and nice, good beds, new bathrooms. Gym and pool were both good. But the breakfast was horrible (like non-existent) and the service wasn't there.
Stayed here for one night while attending a wedding. It's a nice Hotel in what was once I believe a factory of some sort. Pool was nice.Front desk staff didn't seem to friendly though. Breakfast was simple but good. Elevators are weird, seems like your stuck in them the first time you ride them.Takes a long time for the doors to open and they don't show floor numbers.
While the hotel is clean, recently renovated and with friendly staff, I specifically chose this hotel (and paid a premium in my opinion) so that my two boys could play in the pool before continuing our trip to Quebec city.
I was stunned to find out that the pool was closed on July 1st because of the holiday.
Also - if you stay here - avoid room 407: the refridgerator ran all night and is plugged into a crackling power bar (which I finally ended up shutting off at 5am) only to be awoken by people (staff) moving tables on the floor without lifting them at 5.30am. They finally stopped at 6.30am. The fan in the bathroom also needs servicing.
I would like to say that I would give the hotel another shot but at the rate of $185 per night...
We had great rooms, on 8th floor. Very quiet and cozy. The hotel is well situated and Is very popular in the summer. It's walking distance to restaurants, stores and parc sauver if you want to walk or just be outdoors. The hotel is also accommodated with multiple business rooms and pool tables, resto-bar, gym, pool and hot tub. Very nice place to go :)
Stopped here for a night while travelling from PEI to Toronto.
Room was clean and comfortable. While the hotel boasts an indoor pool, it's actually part of a private gym on site, which it less welcoming.
Reception was great- spoke English, kind and helpful.
Area around the hotel had cute shops, restaurants and a lovely canal with fountains etc- I only wished I wasn't so shagged from 14 hours on the road and could have explored a bit more.
This hotel is downtown, not on a hotel strip directly off the highway, but I think it's worth the extra 15 minute detour.
I'm only not giving this hotel a 5* because the pool was a disappointment. It was small, but also tired. Beside the hot tub was a metal pole that was covered in dust and jagged metal. Makes you wonder what you can't see 😬
If the pool doesn't matter to you, then this hotel will be a winner.
