Thula Meetse is like heaven on earth, with the freshest breeze an the most beautiful nature surrounding the lodge. We fell in love with those rocky mountains and the fact that there wasn't a lot of network, we had an opportunity to separate ourselves from social media and the daily rush of our everyday lives. The manager is phenominal, an amazing Go-fearing woman who has pure love for guests. The rooms are very classy, extremely clean and well equipped. We enjoyed an afternoon swim is a lovely clean pool and took lots of pictures. If we could, we would go back to Thula Meetse every single month.
A great destination for a day picnic. We spent the Sunday exploring the picturesque footpaths and afterwards cooling down in the swimming pool. We were treated on a scrumptious picnic lunch and could lounge and relax in the shady garden.
We spent a weekend in the Bosveld at Thula Meetse Mystical Mountain Lodge and we can see exactly why this place ranks #1 on TripAdvisor!
Excellent service and staff, great facilities and by far the best lapa I have ever had the pleasure of enjoying ANYWHERE!
As a family of 6, and joining my folks and sister at this Waterberg oasis, we had a lot more than we needed or expected, even after hearing all about how wonderful the place, service, setting and overall experience was from my mom and dad who had visited before.
The kids loved it, we loved it, and we will soon be back for more.
The morning hikes, the pool deck and the lapa made us wish we didn't need to leave.
Our gracious hosts also did a lot to make it hard to leave.
Highly recommend this Lodge for bird lovers, wedding planners and families wanting to get into the Bosveld and try something new.
Our family (ranging from small children to disabled elderly) stayed at Thula Meetse No. 5 over the new year period recently. This 'stream-front' unit can compete with the best 'beach-front' accommodation in terms of its proximity to the crystal rivulet right on your verandah. We were so impressed that we could have a relaxing peaceful time since kids usually require a lot of entertainment... it seemed that even our children took to the peaceful setting - as if the mystery of the mountains and bush captivated them along with us! There is a sparkling tropical pool, table tennis, pool tables and putt-putt available to them but they wanted most to wander through the bush on the many bridged pathways crossing various meandering streams and just drink in the beautiful surrounds! The hospitality of the staff and hosts are out of this world - we felt like family by the time we left. During our 6 day stay our every whim was accommodated in the most friendly manner. Take time to enjoy the succulent dinners and breakfasts, make sure you have some cocktails by the pool at night under the stars and do treat yourself to the picnic available at a location of your choice - more than worth it. The entire lodge is laced by the most beautiful gardens and you will not be disappointed with the hour-hike to the waterfall. The only point of criticism we can raise is that their web-site does little to reflect the true bliss of Thula Meetse. Once again thank you to Lynette, Andre, and staff... We will most definitely return and I can certainly recommend a visit to Thula Meetse! - The Pieterse Family (Dec'14-Jan'15)
Nestled in the mountains with a beautiful waterfall, trails and streams, this bush veld paradise will make you love Limpopo.
All of this hosted by one of the friendliest management and staff components we've experienced.
Lovely wooden lodges, wooden walkways, a pretty entertainment and pool area and a cosy thatched wooden restaurant and pub round off a resort with character.
