The location is terrific -- across the street from the beach and within walking distance from a bunch of good restaurants, shopping, etc. And the staff was friendly and helpful. A few things they could work on: 1) Cleaning staff was routinely seen cleaning rooms without masks. Unacceptable. Covid lingers in the air. Masks need to be worn in any enclosed space. 2) The breakfasts are fine, but could use an upgrade (maybe some fresh fruit?). 3) The bar could also use an upgrade. We appreciated the free welcoming drink, but it's sort of a depressing place otherwise. 4) The sofa bed was unsleepable -- very uncomfortable. They need to be replaced. All that said, it's a decent deal and a good alternative to the much pricier beach properties across the street.
Wonderful stay at Ports of Call resort. Clean, modern, oversized rooms and great staff. Location can not be beat. Within walking distance for everything on Grace Bay. Across the street from the grocery store. There may be more luxurious resorts but if you are a half mile walk from anything it’s not practical to stay there without taking taxis everywhere which adds greatly to the expense of everything. There is also a free breakfast with croissants from the best bakery in Grace Bay, other baked goods, yogurts, fruit, and some hot items. This helped as we could have a normal breakfast and you weren’t searching for something to eat first thing in the morning. About a 5-6 minute walk to the beach. There is a shuttle available but we never felt the need to take it. Beach portion is on a great part of Grace Bay. Spacious and never felt you were too close to other people. Gorgeous wide section of beach. Plenty of beach chairs and umbrellas available on the beach provided you arrive at beach at reasonable time. Like any other beach resort, can’t expect to show up late morning/afternoon and have chairs waiting for you, although there is turnover and staff worked hard to seat everyone. Beach staff is amazing. Wesley is wonderful, helpful, and became our friend over the course of our trip. Watson the bartender is another gem. We loved visiting Turks and will be back. We went during Christmas week through New Years and had a wonderful trip.…
Beautiful boutique hotel. Short walk to the beach. Great free breakfast. Rooms were clean and modern. Great location for walking to restaurants, beach and shopping. We will definitely be back. Great New Years party too.
Wonderful staff and convenient location. THE most helpful front desk, and Watson will give you all local tips and keeps a kind eye out for little ones. The owners take the time to share local tips and tricks, which is a great touch. We enjoyed playing pool, ping pong and shuffleboard. A quick walk to the beach and restaurants. Cab rides for 2 adults and 2 kids are about $50 anywhere you go, so if you plan to explore the island, look into a car rental. Many thanks for a relaxing trip!
