Despite the excellent location, the very nice room, and the overall positive ambiance of TCI, the best part of my trip was undoubtedly the people, especially the POC staff. Special shutout to Paul (front desk), and (Professor) Watson, who made me feel right at home. I hated to leave!
Ports of Call is ideally located within walking distance of about 2-5 min of shops and restaurants. Rooms were perfectly clean and well appointed- we chose a king balcony room. Each room had a mini fridge and coffee maker but breakfast was included in their main breakfast area. Access to Grace bay beach was super easy as Ports of Call has a golf cart shuttle that can drop you off right at the beach if you prefer to not walk the 4 min there. Once at the beach they help you with a beach set up (loungers and umbrella) and they also have drinks available for purchase. Beach/pool towels are available at the front desk. We used the pool only once but it was nice to have access to it especially as there’s a small pool bar offering cocktails right next to it. All in all a very lovely stay made even better by the friendliness of the all the staff we encountered.…
This is a great little hotel. A bit expensive but then again not expensive compared to other hotels in the area ! The people here and elsewhere are not only tourist friendly but genuinely friendly. In fact they are even very friendly amongst each other. The hotel is low key , simple and efficient. We almost always had hot water. Barman was super efficient as well as the front desk ! In fact we did not have any problems at all ! Briefly met the owner who was super helpful also. No need for a car here, you're surrounded by many excellent restaurants , in fact the Caicos Cafe , just next door was very good to say the least ! {you just have to convince them that they are not full ;)} and that they have a table for you.. The beach service {5 mins away} also has good service as part of the hotel services. The bar also has a Happy Hour {2 for 1} which is a money saver. We upgraded to the deluxe room which was worth every penny. Jade Papke made this happen via email at that... and thanks to Sandy, Jowell, Mercedes and Melanie. 5 out 5 for us !…
We had a gorgeous casual dinner at Call Me Cuban last night on Ocean drive Miami. Gabbi was a great waiter and really looked after us! Service with a smile! The paella was amazing and we loved the spicy margaritas!
First, I 'd like to give the staff a huge compliment on their professionalism, kindness, and hospitality. From the front desk (day shift and night shift), the bartenders, and house keeper was so nice, everyone did a fabulous job of asking if they could help, or if i asked a question, an immediate response was given. I also want to give a special acknowledgment to Wesley, who works at the beach for the hotel. He was personable, funny, he answered all my questions and was overall extremely helpful. Thank you to this AMAZING staff. I appreciated the breakfast in the morning. Very simple items, enough to hold you until you figure out what the next move is. My friend and i decided NOT to do the all-inclusive route. The rooms were fairly clean, there was a lot of remodeling being done so i'm excited to see what that looks like in the future. The pool was clean and very inviting. I think the outside bar closes at 8pm and pool closes at 9pm. There are a few business on the property, a solon, a gift shop, and other shops. The grocery store is almost next door, the shopping and local dinning is a 6 to 7 minute walk. The beach is a 4 minute walk away with a nice vendor that sells coconut water and with rum. I had a few of those. Overall, I had a great experience at this place. I look forward to coming back and having the time of my life again, at this hotel and on this beautiful island.…
The Port of Call resort is fairly average. The bar is shabby. Room are small and cluttered. It is close to restaurants. I gave 2 stars due to cost. There is a hefty fee and tax added, not good value for money. They need to bring down the price. No going back.
Great hotel from a variety of different breakfast items every day. Fresh pastries every day from the bakery across the street. Room are big, comfortable beds. Very friendly staff. Beach area was great with plenty of chairs and umbrellas. The beach was fabulous. Pool area and bar area were great! This hotel has everything you need. I had my hair done but Brigitte at Tangled across the street and highly recommend it was for my daughters wedding. A variety of restaurants within walking distance. We went on 3 excursions and loved them all! Snorkeling at Leward Reef and saw a reef shark, island tour and sunset cruise.
If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Ports of Call checks every single box. Right by the beach with all the things you want (towels, umbrellas, chairs, kayaks, etc), pool, hot tub, bar (welcome drinks given on arrival!), beautiful landscaping, great rooms, walking distance to grocery stores and multiple good restaurants…..close to the airport. What a find! Most important, great staff. Shay and Jordan were so kind and went out of their way to make it a great stay. Oh! And great breakfast! Good stuff….eggs, waffles, fruit……. Just wonderful! We will be back!
We had a very nice day at this hotel. It is a great value for the money pay period is closely located to all major shopping, dining and beach experiences in the area. The staff was very helpful and did not steer as wrong as far as any request that we made. We had a room with a balcony the room was clean. The bathroom worked very well, and the hotel in general was in good shape. We had a nice three night stay and we definitely consider going there again on a return trip. The only thing I would probably say that I would like to see improved is the Wi-Fi coverage because it was a bit spotty, but that being said, when you’re on vacation, perhaps you should put down the phone.
The only thing good about this resort is the location & the front desk host Sandy. The resort is not well maintained and cleaned. Besides Sandy and a couple of other employees that work there - the employees are not friendly, The front desk staff sit looking at their cell phone without greeting you. They only show you attention when you approach the desk. They don’t do well with providing info about excursions or knowing the hours of service. The cleaning lady we had did not clean our shower for days. I had to report it to the front desk with pictures. My wife heard the owner/manager arguing with another employee in the hallway near our room which is not a good look for the guest. In our first room, the safe, refrigerator and one lamp didn’t work. We had to wait a day for it to be fixed and then had to report other issues the next day. They maintenance staff showed no sense of urgency. That seemed to be a theme at other establishments as well. Overall, the customer service needs improvement and we will not be staying there again.…
