Windsong On The Reef is often celebrated for its inviting atmosphere, thanks to its updated rooms and amiable staff, although the evening music occasionally disrupts the peace. Nestled in a prime spot, the hotel boasts spacious and clean rooms, many with stunning oceanfront views that have garnered compliments from guests.
While the property's cleanliness earns high marks, opinions on service and amenities vary, with some guests highlighting the beach and snorkeling, but others frustrated by inconsistent service and perceived lack of value, pointing to steep prices and underwhelming experiences.

I would give Windsong 6 stars if I could. This was our first visit to Turks and Caicos. Great location. The beach and pool area were very comfortable. Awesome snorkeling right off the beach. Easy to order drinks from servers coming to the beach or pool bar. Restaurant (with tables right above beach) was a special experience with exceptional food. We had a 2 bedroom ocean front room and this was perfect for our group. The staff was very kind and attentive. Kahlil was helpful as a butler/concierge. Congrats to the management. We will be back.

We enjoyed our stay overall but we struggled a bit with our room location and the DJ on Saturday night and especially with certain aspects of the service. Part of it was the absolute level of service and part was our expectations given how much we paid for everything. We rented a 2-bedroom ocean/beach front unit. We would not return given the pricing and overall quality.
Positives: 1) The unit is large overall with good sized bedrooms, kitchen and living area 2) Kitchen has a nice variety of dishes, cookware and appliances 3) Unit is very clean 4) Main pool is large and clean and very nice 5) Easy access to the beach from the property 6) The ocean and beach are very beautiful with easy access to the reef 7) The staff that work the equipment and towels at the beach are nice and super helpful 8) Check in easy and no issues with billing for room or incidentals
Neutral: 1) Twin beds in first bedroom and King in master 2) No bathtubs which was fine but would have been an issue when daughter was younger 3) Beach chairs fill up quick in the morning. There was always a chair but you may be farther down the beach or not have an umbrella 4) Gym as expected. Not large but decent for a resort 5) poolside service was in line with expectations. Beer and food pricing in line with expectations but wine seemed very high but some of that was the island
Negatives: 1) The biggest one for us was certain aspects of service especially the morning breakfast. The ocean front tables fill up fast, it is unclear who is in charge of seating and whether there is or isn't a table available. There was normally seating available near the bar. You can order a variety of bread, cereal and juice and that is included with the room but eggs and anything else is extra just as a heads up. The servers were not pleasant and that is it putting it mildly and the service is extremely slow and not responsive. We waited 20 minutes on our second day just to get a cup of coffee once we were seated and then the reprimanded me for wanting to go fill up our cup at the bar. The server then was downright angry. We went 3 times and each time it was worse so we didn't go back. 2) We had a few small things come up as well where we needed something small and the front desk response was not as responsive as you would expect given the quality of the property overall 3) They have a DJ on Saturday nights from 6-10. This was right outside our room and was extremely loud and drove us crazy but only one night luckily 4) We were on the first floor by the pool which was convenient but not great privacy and the view is not as great so I would try to get second floor or above if you want ocean view.

We're delighted that you enjoyed our unique location next to a coral reef and just steps from Grace Bay with turquoise views by day and sun-kissed, orange hues during evening sunsets. We appreciate your kind praise for our beach staff and housekeeping as well as our spacious 2 Bedroom Oceanfront Suite. We are sorry that we fell short of your expectations at breakfast and apologize for any wait staff who disappointed you. Please know that we have addressed your concerns. With one of the best dining views on the island, our beachside tables fill up fast during breakfast at the most popular times and we do get busy. Thank you for choosing Windsong for your stay in Providenciales. We hope you'll visit our beautiful island in the future.

This was our third visit to Windsong On The Reef and it will not be our last!
At Windsong you are greeted by the staff as old friends - we were so happy to see many familiar faces! It is obvious that Windsong management values their employees, who are (in my opinion) their biggest asset.
The resort is intimately sized but doesn’t feel too small. There is no crowding on the beach or at the pool. To really appreciate this, walk along the water (east) to The Beaches Resort!
Because the beach and ocean are so beautiful we didn’t utilize the pool much but the area always looked clean and inviting. The same is true for JoJo’s Cafe, the public restrooms and hospitality areas. A coffee bar & barista (Marlenis) were new this year and a welcome addition!
Most of our time was spent on the beach where Omar, Ben and Larry kept us happy with drinks, towels, chairs, cabanas, snorkeling gear, Hobie Cat sails, SUPs, and kayaks. We also enjoyed relaxing on the floats anchored offshore.
Our group consisted of four couples so we opted for a four bedroom penthouse unit, as we had the previous year. It was just as good this time, even though it was adjacent to the construction site. The views and outdoor spaces in these suites are everything! The interior had everything we needed ( bottle opener and corkscrew) and much more, including two laundries. There was even a queen size Murphy Bed in the master closet if you want to put little kids somewhere dark and quiet. Housekeeping kept everything clean and well stocked. Derron and Kahlil made sure we had everything we needed.
The rooftop patio with hot tub was wonderful! We spent a lot of time up there watching the sunsets and watching Chef Lewin prepare some pretty awesome meals. One night we even saw the launch of a SpaceX rocket!
We had breakfast most mornings at The Dunes. To say it is a leisurely experience would be an understatement. If you’re in a hurry, grab a pastry and coffee from the coffee bar. If you’re not, relax and enjoy some of the nicest servers you’ll ever meet. LaVonne is a joy!
I don’t remember what role everyone plays and there is some crossover with staff helping in different areas as needed. In addition to those I’ve already mentioned, our gratitude to Alicia, Venese, Annette and Jerome for making our stay at Windsong OnThe Reef so special.
Until next time! The Foxes and Friends

We couldn't agree more that we have the best staff in the Caribbean, but it never gets old hearing it from our guests. Thank you for sharing your delight about your stay with us. Our 4 Bedroom Penthouse with over 4550 sq. ft., two large patios, a fully-equipped roof top terrace with kitchen, hot tub for six people, dining and lounging seating -- is the perfect accommodation and entertaining choice for four couples. It also makes us very happy to hear your kind words for our property, our amenities and dining options. And, we're delighted you enjoyed the addition of our coffee bar. We appreciate your loyalty and look forward to your 4th visit to Windsong on the Reef next year!

Part of the responsibility for the disappointment is on me for this one. We booked through Costco travel and had had an amazing experience last year in the Bahamas so assumed this would be similar. A quick glance of the overwhelmingly positive reviews made me feel good and not do much more research. Would not stay here again, and would not recommend others.
Location on the beach is nice. You never know the chair reservation system upon arriving to a resort and we came out the first day and only one set of chairs was left on the end, fairly early. People reserve with towels and leave for hours, but no new chairs seemed to be added. Lots of traffic from people at Beaches coming to see the reef. Sand and water were gorgeous! Construction happening on right side of beach but not overall too distracting.
Room: i should have done more research but i knew I wouldn’t be getting a waterfront room but assumed there would be at least a balcony. No balcony, no just two wicker chairs and a lookout of a tree and a parking lot. Didn’t want to spend much time in room. The furniture was not comfortable or amenable to relaxing in the room. There were two chairs and a table but it had a large plant on it.
Bathroom: bad water pressure, odd layout. The faucet is very close to the wall and it made it very difficult to get sand off. Some stray hairs in the tub that didn’t belong to anyone in our group. Amenities not refreshed everyday- I wanted more q tips and left a note and this was ignored twice!!Once room refresh, we only got one washcloth. We asked for some extra towels and were told no!
Free breakfast: confusing. There are 3 spots that offer it and each has different offerings. The indoor space had lattes but also inconsistent muffins. The croissants looked great from the area by jojos but they only offered black coffee. Very underwhelming. If you weren’t staying at the hotel and paid the sticker price of over $20 you would be hugely disappointed.
Overall customer service was shocking and off-putting for a hotel that bills itself as luxury. I have never been told “no” by hotel staff as much as I have been here- for small requests, like a towel or q tips kit, or asking why one outlet served muffins and another croissants, and being treated like it was ridiculous that id considered these similar options. I’m usually not ready to leave vacations and was not unhappy to leave Windsong. If you like underwhelming, basic accommodations with rude staff, stay here, but you’re better off bringing your money to a hotel that acts like they want your business!

Thank you for taking the time to post a review. You stated a number of concerns so I will respond accordingly, but first, I do thank you for your compliments regarding our location and the gorgeous sand and water. With regard to the beach chair reservation, we do not request or support a chair reservation system as we have sufficient beach loungers to accommodate our guests. Our standard room does not have an ocean view or balcony. I was concerned by your comment and double checked our website which confirmed we do state that. The standard room is designed more like a hotel room than a suite and offers a terrific price point. The bathroom faucet is a Moen hi rise faucet that extends up some 5’’ from the counter and provide exceptional space at the vanity. This unit was chosen for this reason. It can be viewed in the photos on our website. I do offer my sincere apologies for a hair being found in the tub. If you had mentioned this to our management, we would have gladly sent a cleaner up to reclean the entire bathroom. We do provide at least 3 full sets of towels in each room and provide turn down service every day to refresh as needed, but that is no reason to say no to a towel request and I can assure you mention of this will be made a part of our next staff meeting. Our free continental breakfast offer is available in 3 different venues, the Veranda coffee shop ( a grab and go styled venue located by the lobby with only continental offerings in the morning that does also have air conditioned seating as well as a lanai area), JoJos Café (located pool side with a full restaurant menu), and Dune (an Alfresco dining area along the beach dune that also offers a full breakfast menu). It is our intension to have separate menus for each location so our guests will be able to have a variety of offerings. We don’t offer muffins in JoJos but we do provide complimentary chocolate croissants also back fresh each day. All this said, I do not like hearing that our staff said no rather than providing positive solutions and will work on improving this. I do hope you will favor us with a return visit when your travels bring you back to the Turks and Caicos so we can work on improving your opinion of us.

Nice location but service is poor. In a place like TCI, every property has good location, the real differentiator is service and this property is really bad at it. Especially the beach staff- they just don’t want to work and sit in their place all the time and want to be paid without doing any work. They’re interested to sell paid services and not interested to provide services that hotel claims to include complimentary as part of rooms package. We were here 4 nights and the beach staff was full of excuses every day on why they can’t take us for a boat ride. They couldn’t find a single occasion in 4 days where they had enough people to man a Hobie Cat. They just don’t want to work.

Jatin, I am reading your comments with great disappointed. We normally receive compliments on the staff service. It appears your dissatisfaction centers around the beach staff not providing a manned Hobie Cat ride. While we do on occasion do this, it is only during very slow periods as it involves 30-45 minutes of dedicated time, a trained operator and our beach staff stays quite busy servicing our guests with towels, snorkel gear, setting up the paddle boats, zodiacs, stand up boards, kayaks and the Hobie Cat for those who are able to sail it. I believe we do provide all the services we advertise but manned Hobie Cat trips is not one of them. All that said, I will look into what it would involve for us to offer this going forward. We appreciate your business and hope you will consider a return visit so we can work on improving your opinion of us.

We spent the week between Christmas and New Years at The Windsong on the Reef and have never felt so welcomed by hotel staff at a hotel. It was a nightmare coming in with respect to air travel, but the hotel manager was able to juggle our reservation by 2 days to accommodate our travel delay despite the fact that the hotel was fully booked - talk about service! Upon arrival you are greeted with a cold towel to wipe your face a either a rum punch or a juice for the kids.
The rooms are immaculate and the location can not be beat since you are right on Grace Bay Beach (voted best in the world year-after-year) and the reef so the snorkeling is amazing.
This is our 8th year coming to this hotel and we will be back again next year. If you like a boutique feeling hotel this is the place for you! Daren is the concierge and he can make magic happen with respect to dinner reservations at the best restaurants on the Island. However, I do suggest calling/emailing him ahead of time to ensure you get into the restaurants you really want to go to. Omar, Alicia and RJ are our go to servers, PJo is our favorite bartender, and Larry manages whatever watersport you want to partake in. That said, everyone on the staff is excellent, and they all remember every guests name and preferences.
The breakfast at the hotel are excellent, however lunch and dinner are average. For lunch, may I suggest walking next door to 'Somewhere' to get the pulled pork. Or go to the grocery store and make your own lunch since most rooms come with a fully equipped kitchen and then splurge on an amazing dinner out.

What a great trip. Windsong is such a wonderful place. The staff made the trip. All staff were friendly, conversational, and efficient. Omar, RJ, Venese, Alicia, Shelly were all great. Every morning we were greeted in the lobby by Marlenis who made lattes at the bar. For the buffet on Saturday night we ate overlooking the beach watching the sunset and partaking in a feast created by Chef Lewin and Lancy. Delish!! PeJoe, the bartender, was our favorite. He was so friendly and we enjoyed chatting with him while he made our drinks (2 for 1 during happy hour). Darron and Garrey, the butlers, were always making sure we were taken care of. They made reservations, provided suggestions, got us rides, and made sure we were good to go.
Fun fact: if you don’t want to move at all from your beach chair, just raise the yellow flag and someone will co e and get your order!!
We stayed in the bungalows and the rooms was clean, specious, and well appointed. Only negative is an easy fix…the rooms need more towel racks or a drying rack to hang wet towels and clothes. Also, the bathroom is large enough to have a small table or shelf to put toiletries. Not a show stopper.
The beach was beautiful. You can walk for miles either direction for exploring. Right at the resort there is a reef you can snorkel to from the beach. So many fish and Corel. Amazing. They also have paddle boarding, and kayaking. They also have a Hobie to sail. Need different water sports? The boats just come right in the beach to pick people up. The resort has a gym, spa, pools, hot tubs.
We did go off property to kayak in the Mangroves, and dinner at Mango Reef (more casual) and Indigo (fancier). Both amazing!!

We celebrated or 45th anniversary at the Windsong Resort and it was everything we could ask for. It started with a welcome drink served by the concierge Garey who was our contact for everything we needed from reservations to taxi service. He was the best. The wonderful one bedroom suite with large balcony was very well equipped, clean and the view was spectacular. The rose pedals on the bed and a chilled bottle of champagne upon our arrival was a nice touch also. Daily room service was more than you could ask for with special touches including turndown service. The entire staff taking care of the pool and beach area were amazing and again, special touches like fresh towels and terry fitted covers on the chairs each morning. We loved JoJo’s and The Dune restaurant and especially the Bahama Mama cocktails at happy hour. A special shout-out to Vanessa, Alicia and the general manager Annette Mullings for helping to make our anniversary so special. We will return. Thank You Tod and Karen Zwolak

From the greeting we received upon arrival to the beautiful room (with washer/dryer, full kitchen and daily housekeeping) to the beach staff, use of beach chairs, towels, umbrellas/cabanas which are included along with access to use paddle boards, kayaks and small sailboats, we loved our stay at Windsong. The breakfast (some continental items are included) overlooking the beach was delicious. Take cash for any cab rides (charged per person), there are several restaurants within walking distance on the beach and go explore some local faves by cab, too. If you are there on a Thursday night, consider going to the Island fish fry for local food, live music and beautiful local items to purchase. Another suggestion is to go to the grocery on day 1 to stock up on your favorite drinks, snacks and a meal or two to enjoy at your room and around the beautiful grounds at the resort.

Tried Windsong because I remember its great house snorkeling reef from a long ago trip to Beaches next door. I think maybe this may be a condo community with hotel amenities, as I’ve also seen it on AirB&B.
We were warned about some construction but it was fine, not noisy at all. Room (2 BR 2Ba ocean front suite) was outstanding, large and comfy with full kitchen, washer/dryer, AC, and balcony. It’s a quiet place, even thanksgiving week didn’t feel crowded at all. Staff was attentive and available. Pool scene was pretty quiet, no shortage of loungers, people were friendly but it was hard to get a real feel for who all was traveling.
A few disappointments—the reef is in bad shape since we were there before (although it’s now roped off to preserve it) but we were in TCI to dive so we only tried snorkeling once.
The bigger disappointment was the inconsistent food. It rained a few days and the others we were wiped out from diving so we ate on site all week. Breakfast was pretty meager unless you ordered more (paid) dishes, lunch at the bar/pool was good albeit no variation thru the week. Dinners were mostly themed, some nights were good (Caribbean night), others were just so-so (pasta night, sushi night). Grouper was always overcooked but conch was excellent. Thanksgiving buffet was fine but lobster was overcooked. The DJ was awful, really detracted from the Thanksgiving meal! Drinks were very good. All dining is outside—when it rains they waive room service fees to eat in your room. Typical (non themed) menu was ok, chicken roll up was good, steak was overcooked.
We would stay there again for the quality and size of the room and laid back vibe but would eat out/take out more (esp for dinners).

There is enough beach to enjoy and the resort provides beachside chairs as well. There is also a plent of swimming on all sides of the reef for all to enjoy!
We stayed in a one bedroom suite last month and based on how the buildings are positioned I think you will be just fine regardless of where you end up. My suggestion is this, get a 2nd floor or above suite if you can. Better views and perhaps less noise.
There are more places to choose from in the Grace Bay area.
