Our family of 10, 7 adults and 3 children just returned from an amazing vacation at Windsong on the Reef. Windsong fulfilled our request of three Oceanview suites next to each other. When we arrived cold towels and a refreshing beverage for all. Everyone from reception to the wait staff, bartenders, maids, and activities staff were friendly, responsive and always ready to help with anything we needed. I would highly recommend this very family friendly resort.

Windsong is perfectly located steps from the Coral Gardens reef. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and kind. Crianissa, Derron, and PeJoe were very attentive...answered all of our questions, made very helpful suggestions for activities and meals, and made us feel right at home. The beach and pool area were beautiful and well maintained. The room was very comfortable. Great experience. I would stay there again!

The Windsong was all that I expected and more. The welcoming staff was great as they greeted my wife and I with fresh peppermint fragrance wet towels while entering the lobby to check in on the first day. They had our room ready way before the time they asked us to check in which was 3pm. We arrived at 1pm so them having the room ready was spectacular. The food was a little expensive from their restaurant but the food was very good. The restaurant staff was exceptional, the waiters, and waitresses was very pleasing to deal with such as Shelly, Venese, Samuel, and the bartender and greeter on the first day Pejo. Those 4 made our stay fabulously memorable. The housekeeping staff did a great job as well. All in all my wife and I had a wonderful time and would recommend this place to all our friends and family as well as those that will read this review. Keep it up Windsong your doing great from 9/11/23- 9/15/23.

Just spent a week at Windsong, Kids 8 and 15, my wife and I in 2 bedroom deluxe. We thought the resort was great. The only issue we had was with restaurants. Food was good but service was incredibly slow. You ask for a menu and the server goes to the bar and talks to the bartender and 15 minutes later comes back with menu. At first i thought it was an island thing but we went to several other restaurants and it was much much better. Beaches were beautiful, resort beautiful, food at various restaurants was great. The negatives…. Restaurants very expensive, Jet Skis, Parasailing, tubing very expensive. Reef right by hotel for snorkeling was very bland. I was expecting a colorful reef with lots of colorful fishes like the pictures and it’s not the case. The reef has no color, and not much fish. It’s boring. My biggest issue is with the island. Once you leave Windsong the island is ugly and unfortunately poor. I was expecting colorful flowers and homes, palm trees, etc, again like pictures I saw. There is no color, houses are falling apart, roads are potholed. At first I thought they were recovering from a hurricane but the taxi drivers said no. I’m sure Covid is part of it but the disrepair is older than covid. Favorite restaurant is Hemingway. Will not be going back to Turks. Other island to see.

We went during off season and there were the perfect amount of guests there- not crowded but not empty- you could always get a spot by the pool or beach. Lord, it was HOT! Be prepared if you go in August. Often there was a pleasant breeze but sometimes it was just too hot. We stayed in the bungalows- 2nd floor 3 bedroom- and it was very big and nicely furnished. Beds were on the firm side but pretty comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked, lots of towels, housekeeping was great. 1 minute walk to beach or pool. Very private with lots of foliage.. bungalows have their own pool which is really nice. Main pool is small but beautiful, there’s a small hot tub at one end. The resort itself is very pretty and well designed. Basic gym (my athletic son was not pleased), spa, and best of all, free kayaks, hobie cats, paddle boards, and paddle boats to use on the stunning beach. Snorkels/flippers were 6$ per day but always available.. which leads me to the absolute best part of the resort.. it’s right on an incredibly beautiful and vibrant coral reef. Tons of colorful fish ,plus we saw moray eels, a sting Ray and a sea turtle! Service is slow (hey, you’re on vacation, what do you care?) but good, and food was mostly excellent: avoid the sushi. Jerome was our breakfast guy and had our orders memorized by the third day, he was awesome. Vanessa and joilise and the other ladies were great. Gary the butler was super nice, and Derron saved our vacation by helping us fix our rental car issue (alarm would not stop blaring and car wouldn’t start). My husband had a low key feud with Larry the beach attendant, who tried several times to deny my husband the use of water craft citing the “crazy strong current” and “dangerous winds” (it was flat calm). Not sure what was happening there but it did cause consternation for my husband and amusement for the rest of us lol. Generally, nice resort at a decent price point with good food, good if somewhat indifferent service, and gorgeous beach/snorkeking on site.

Thank you for taking time to share feedback about your recent stay at Windsong Resort. We are pleased to learn that you enjoyed the chill vibe of our property and the amazing spot we occupy on world famous Grace bay beach and the reef at our doorstep. August was certainly hotter than usual. We did not escape the heat wave that blanketed much of continent this month. Thankfully we do have, as you noted, lovely tradewinds most of the time to keep things cool and our two swimming pools also help. We are sorry that your husband had a but of a feud with our beach attendant. What may appear as flat calm water conditions on the surface can sometimes mislead visitors into assuming water conditions are otherwise from what they seem. We do monitor incoming winds and tide conditions to help our guests remain safe. Our gym is currently being renovated and will feature new equipment and facilities later this year. We hope you will stay with us again to enjoy the beach, snorkeling and wonderful weather!

This was our first time on the island. The water is amazing, so clear and shades of blue that we have never seen! We stayed in a 2-bedroom bungalow. This room was perfect for our size family and had a pool right outside the door, so our kids (14, 16 and 18) swam every night. They do have quite hours which I understand but at 9pm there were 4 families out by the pool, and we were asked to quiet down, the kids were laughing and splashing. The snorkeling was great! We saw some really cool fish and a turtle. I had read that the service was hit or miss. We had wonderful service during our continental bfast, happy hour drinks at the bar, on the beach and the one night we ordered food at the main pool. The front desk was friendly, and the butler service was exceptional! They helped us book our excursions, get a taxi and rent a car. We rented a car because it made more sense than getting a taxi for dinner each night. It was fun to be able to explore the island on our own. Few side notes: -The hotel offers a shuttle to and from the grocery store and the prices are much better in the actual grocery store compared to the online delivery store. -Bring a good water bottle to fill-up at the water station to have with you on the beach. Regular water bottles from the fridge get hot too fast. -If you are there on a Thursday, you MUST go to the fish fry! -One thing we were unaware of is outside the resort you have to pay for ice water. And some places only have bottle water. So just be ready for that cost.

The Windsong surpassed our expectations. We were greeted upon arrival into a wonderful smelling lobby and given a delicious rum punch and cool towel. The butler showed us around the property and to our room. We stayed in the 2 bedroom bungalow. Had plenty of room for our family of six. Great small pool area near the bungalows that was always quiet and peaceful. Maid service was wonderful ( everything is so clean and immaculate) and turn down service every night made us feel pampered! The restaurant staff worked very hard and a shout out to Ben who serves you at the beach and pool. He works very hard to bring you cocktails and food all day and it’s much appreciated. The continental breakfast every morning was fantastic. The yogurt they give is excellent as well as the oatmeal and fresh croissants . The many beach toys such as paddle boards and kayaks are easily available as are the workers at the beach desk. Always willing to help or take you out for a sail. My sons loved using the paddle boards. The reef right off the beach allows for great snorkeling. We saw sea turtles, sting rays and so many beautiful fish. The staff at the hotel works very hard to make sure you have a wonderful experience. The little things like turn down service, fresh water in the lobby, beachside service, bath robes and slippers make for the most enjoyable vacation. If you are looking for a quieter resort that has all the amenities and you don’t have to search for beach chairs, then this is your resort. Made for a very relaxing and memorable family vacation. We will be back for sure.

My wife and I stayed 7 nights with our 2 kids (15 and 10) in one of the 2 bedroom Lanai Bungalows. The experience was better than we ever could have imagined. The Staff - The best part of Windsong on the Reef hands down. We knew the stay was going to be great when our inbound flight got canceled and the front desk changed our first day out for an additional day on the back end. It only kept getting better from there. Darron the butler was friendly and showed us everything we needed to know about the room. Larry in watersports was incredibly kind and gave amazing recommendations to our family for things like dinner, shopping, and activities. Joinse at JoJo's always went above and beyond despite her heavy workload. Every single staff member we encountered at Windsong on the reef was friendly in all aspects and this is what made our stay the most enjoyable. The Room - Everything was clean, in great condition, and everything that you could ever think you needed in a room was there. Housekeeping was friendly and kept the room spotless during our stay. A few minor things could be fixed around the room such as the creaky bunk bed, extremely loud bathroom door, and the toilet running about every 10 minutes, but all of these things were extremely minor and didn't affect our stay by any means. The Resort - All of the facilities at Windong were kept in pristine condition. The pools were clean, the landscaping was beautiful, and security was constantly walking around (especially at night) keeping the resort safe. A quick note is that if you are traveling to Windsong within at least the next 6 months is that they are doing construction on a new building next door. You can't hear the noise inside the rooms, but during the day it becomes a bit noisy at the pool and on the beach. Windsong offered complimentary watersports which was one of the kids' favorite things. Kayaking, paddleboarding, peddle boating; You name it, they had it. This is a great example of just one of the many amenities offered at Windsong. The Location - Windsong is situated in one of the best, if not the best location in all of the Grace Bay area. The beach is perfect; Walk 20 minutes in either direction and you will see a noticeable change in not only the watercolor but in beach condition. The snorkeling was better than we had all imagined. So many different types of fish and coral to see in only a 5-minute swim. If you are staying at Windsong, don't bother booking a snorkeling excursion. All the snorkeling you need is in the "Backyard" of Windsong. A quick word of advice about the snorkeling - Bring your own snorkeling set. It's a lot easier to just bring in your own without having the hassle of checking out a pair every day. The quality of those that you bring will probably be substantially better than those that are offered as well. Some additional pros - 1) The check-in experience is wonderful; You are greeted with a refreshment and cool towels infused with essential oils. 2) Towels are provided in abundance; Seriously, you could get 2 or 3 towels per person if you needed it and in any direction you turn. 3) Most pools near the beach at resorts get extremely sandy in and around the pool deck; Not Windsongs. The pool deck is kept very clean and free from sand. 4) The cabanas and hammocks around the pool were a very nice touch. There is no shortage of places to relax around the property. A couple of things that could use a little bit of attention - The food at the resort was pretty average and the service was slow in terms of time ordered to time the food was received. I truly believe that Windsong would become 5 times more popular if those 2 small issues were addressed. The menu could also use a slight expansion to include some more "American-style food" for picky eaters. In the end, these very few things weren't enough to bring this resort down to 4 stars, but they are definitely noticeable things that would improve guest experiences Some things to note - 1) The continental breakfast is exactly what a true continental breakfast is. A few light menu options that don't change daily. If you are an American traveler, you are probably used to the huge breakfast buffets at major hotel chains with 50+ things on the menu and every bakery item you could imagine. Be prepared to adjust your expectations. 2) Be kind to the staff and they will be kind back. We're all human, and I can tell you that if you treat the staff at Windsong with respect, it will make your experience so much more enjoyable. The staff members want to be your friend, they want to give you recommendations, they want to share their story and all the perks of their island. Have a chat with them, and you'll be surprised at what you learn. I can promise you that you won't regret staying at Windsong on the Reef. We will certainly be returning.
