We went as a group of six on a voucher deal found it to be excellent value as we were unable to fault the accommodation or the food, the carvery meats were the best ive had, and the steak pie and fish also excellent, the owners work ethic could only be admired, surrounded by friendly staff and locals alike, will...

We arrived here on a discounted deal for one evening. On arrival we were given a very small but immaculately clean room after being advised meals were not in the building but up the road at another pub. Although we had no prior knowledge of this we had our evening meal which was excellent pub grub with superb waiter staff...

Wowcher deal . Room was very clean, it seemed to be refurbished , however such a small room, very cluttered with furniture, bed against wall which made it difficult to get out of. We were looking forward to eating, as the deal said Italian in the attached restaurant, however had to eat at Duke Wellington as chef had left!! If...

I have to say that we were happy with our room. It was clean and tidy and everything worked fine. Only comment would be that lack of heating in the bathroom would make it very cold on a winter morning. The food was next door and we had very short availability as they don't usually serve food on a Monday...

Pub ok, Room was clean but no heating in the room, no attempt to get it fixed. Food average. Couldn't get a time for breakfast that suited us. Fighting at the side of the pub kept us awake for over an hour - I know that isn't the pub's fault but it just added to the poor experience. Stayed one...

Very disappointing...had to wait till 5pm to get in. Landlord not very welcoming at all. The meal in the evening was poor and we had to order breakfast the night before at a time that suited the cook and not the guests.! We didn't bother and ate at Mowbray s tea room down the road. We couldn't get the heating...

What can I say about The Loco. The pub itself is lovely and you can see a loco engine in the wall. The rooms, ok we used a Wowcher voucher. We had a twin room but the one bed, which was mine I could not see the tv. Also by the window on the right hand side it is cobweb...

No food available but was still charged for it , website very misguiding as it shows an artistic public house with a range of real ales , only one feature , very unwelcoming and room not worth the cost alone

A traditional country pub with no frills . We were in a small but clean room the bathroom was spacious although we struggled to get hot water from the shower. The evening meal was served at the inn next door (duke William). We chose the carvery although by 7:00 they had no beef left. They also provided gluten free gravy...
