This was quite simply the best holiday EVER! We are so thankful we got to visit this paradise for our honeymoon, it was everything we wanted and more!
We traveled from London Heathrow into Barbados and then were met and guided through to our next (small) plane to Palm Island (aka a slice of paradise)
From the moment we arrived we were greeted off the boat by Katie and her team with a rum punch and a warm welcome. The team that work here really make this 5* as everyone is so welcoming and kind, Johany was amazing at making us cocktails every night at the bar, and Niarshair, Oliver, Shaquille & Glenford (to name a few) were just amazing, always smiling and checking in with us, but honestly there wasn’t a single person on the island that wasn’t polite and friendly, we felt so safe and looked after the entire time which were very thankful for.
We stayed in a beach front apartment which was directly on the beach allowing you to hear the sea to drift off. Our room was spacious and clean with all the amenities we expected.
We loved that all meals were served to you (no buffet in sight!) and lunch was a particular favourite of ours as we liked to sit directly on the beach while sipping a glass of wine! They even had a French province, Rose which was heavily! Food choices were fantastic, we stayed for 10nights and nothing was repeated in the evenings, always a good selection and a form of live music to accompany. Breakfast & lunch menu stayed the same, but there was such a good selection we didn’t get board! The French toast with rum butter was INCREDIBLE! And for lunch some of our favourites were the seafood pasta & palm island burger!
We loved how personal it felt staying here, not crowded at all, always enough sun beds for and a lot of the time it really felt like it was just us on our own island which was exactly what we wanted! We loved being able to ride bikes around and explore coves of the beach which felt like untouched havens! This place really is wonderful and we’re already trying to plan for when we can return!
Lastly, a huge thank you to Katie, you really helped make our time on the island special! All the little touches never went unnoticed, we were so sad to leave! And really do hope we get to return one day! x

We have just got back home from another wonderful holiday on Palm Island.

As soon as you get off the boat, which brings you a short ride across from Union Island, you get a fantastic welcome and you know that you are in good hands to be looked after and helped if you need it.

The island is very peaceful, no TV in the room, no loud music on the beach and no loud music playing all night. There is plenty of room on the island to be secluded if you want to be and, even if you don't, you won't find sun loungers in a row here.
All of the staff, without exception, are friendly and helpful. The scenery on the island and view from the rooms is fabulous. It is difficult to describe the serenity of Palm Island in words, but the number of people who visit year after year know how fortunate they are to be able to do that. We suspect that many hoteliers would like to have as many repeat guests coming year after year.

If you want company, there is plenty to be found at the bar each evening. Aside from the staff being friendly, we find that the guests also tend to be friendly and it is not difficult to strike up a conversation if you want to, so for us it is the perfect blend of peace during the day and a bit of social interaction in the evening. Katie, the General Manager and all of her team do a fantastic job. We will be going again next year with any luck and hope to see many familiar faces of both staff and guests.

From Sincia at booking to John at the bar, everything was handled professionally, and our journey to and from the island went without a hitch. Once we arrived, we couldn't believe the natural beauty of the place. We've traveled all thruout the Caribbean, Mexico, Costa Rica, and Belize and Palm Island manages to capture the best aqua and turquoise crystallize waters, gentle breezes, and soft white sand that any of the above places offer. Everywhere you look is surreal from lush greenery to idyllic balinese styled interiors to the graceful islands beyond. There is wildlife everywhere, both on land and when snorkeling in the sea and you are serenaded by Nature's voice wherever you go.

We chose an oceanfront room and, after seeing the other options, feel this was the best value. The room was quite spacious, with windows surrounding three sides, daily stocked fridge,a large bathroom with fluffy towels, and plenty of luxury bath items. Each of these rooms has its own patio with cushioned loungers and table plus a palapa, table, and chairs in the sand sitting right at the Water's edge--what an incredible view!

All meals provided many options, and everything was tasty. Guests truly enjoy socializing with each other and also relaxing in their own quiet space. There are a variety of activities: rum tasting night was especially fun, as were the crab races! We enjoyed the trip on the Yannis to Tabogo Cays, but unless you just want to see turtles, the snorkeling at the resort offers much more diversity.
Note: some reviews mentioned the need for insect repellent. We brought some but never needed to use it.

With all the natural beauty here,It is easy to see why so many people return!

The island is a stunning location with crisp white sandy beaches set against turquoise waters.
A 135 acre island with around only 41 rooms makes this a real private castaway island holiday.
We spent 14 nights here in May, the resort was not full which added to the privacy feel of being on your own private island.
We experienced a number of the resorts activities, sunset sail on a catamaran, sail to Tobago Cays on the resorts yacht the Pink Lady, trips to nearby Mopion Island and Chatham Bay, Picnic at Hammock 4, Private Dinner under the Gazebo, and a couples massage at the Spa, which we would recommend.
The crew of the hotels catamaran Yannis and the yacht Pink Lady all went out of their way to make all the trips enjoyable and memorable, providing excellent BBQ's on the beaches in the Tobago Cays.
All staff at the resort go above and beyond to provide a first class service under the watchful eye of the hotels Manager Katie who certainly runs a very tight ship with customer service a paramount.
All of the beachfront rooms have undergone a refurbishment but our stay was in one of the garden view rooms which although spacious and comfortable do not appear to have been refurbished since they were opened in the 1990's and the fittings and furniture are looking a bit dated now, we would certainly advise this as something the resort need to consider.
Overall we had a lovely break and came home felling fully refreshed.
A big thank you to all the staff for their care and hospitality during our stay.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our few days at Palm Island Resort in the beautiful Grenadines where you can enjoy a truly unspoilt and authentic Caribbean experience. Having travelled extensively throughout the Caribbean, Palm Island reflects the genuine hospitality of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, the natural beauty of this region and the welcoming spirit from the resort staff. We were not disappointed with the unspoilt white sand beaches and the exquisite healing qualities of the Caribbean Sea where you can see every shade of blue and green. A bonus was absolutely no trace of sargassum seaweed which has been affecting the Caribbean region recently. Swimming, snorkelling and boating was breathtaking.
What really makes Palm Island Resort special is the attention to service and sincere friendliness shown by the staff under the leadership of the General Manager Katie.
Palm Island Resort undoubtedly is the right place to unwind, decompress and enjoy the eastern Caribbean rhythm, cuisine and of course some great rum tasting!
We look forward to returning to this very special island in the not too distant future!

Palm Island was the most incredible vacation my husband and I could ever dream of. The staff on the island were better than any place I’ve ever traveled. They went above and beyond for every service. The rooms were spotless, the food was delicious and the management staff was always willing to help with any needs or questions.

This bucket list destination is nothing short of outstanding. Starting and ending with concierge service at Barbados Airport, nothing was overlooked by its superb staff and gregarious gm Katie ,former manager of resorts in Mauritius and the Seychelles. Small but large enough beaches and island so you never feel crowded. Excellent excursions and dining. All occupied buildings are in top notch condition from paint to cleaning. Bar closes when the last person leaves, beach is calm with no water shoes needed, pristine water and sugar sand. Paddleboards, kayaks and snorkeling is included . Fitness center is small but has,new equipment and ac is,sufficient. Ping pong, billiards and an extensive library next door as well as tennis. Bikes are provided for easy navigation among the iguanas and land tortoises. It's easy to see why they have so many return guests.

This is a really good place. We liked it enormously. It's true that the food is rather average and unimaginative for an upmarket resort and the beachfront rooms do need updating (the shower is pathetic) BUT everything else is wonderful. The island is well kept and a pleasure to walk/cycle around watching hundreds of cavorting iguanas, the pool is a very good size and an interesting design (not the usual rectangle), the beach is prime Caribbean style, there are things to do (if you want) at various times everyday, the library has a surprising number of decent books, and there are very few people sharing the place so you can choose to mingle and socialise with them in the excellent bar(s) or hibernate alone - its up to you. And, perhaps best of all, the manager Katie has created an atmosphere where all the staff are cheerful, helpful, and happy in their work. No wonder there are so many guests who return again and again. If the food and shower were upgraded we would join the returning hordes and award six stars into the bargain!!!

Everything was amazing , from the time we arrived to the time we unfortunately had to leave. Every staff member was pleasant , polite and always acknowledged you when passing by , even the grounds keepers and the housekeeping staff. What an amazing place!! Very clean, property well manicured great food and drinks. Had Chef Bakka had amazing meals and top shelf liquor . Rooms were fantastic and great views, we had Superior ocean front on the beach and was wonderful. Loved the big bathrooms. Every room looked like it had rinse off places at your door to rinse sand off before entering your room , which a wonderful plus . we actually had a real nice private outdoor shower at out room , wonderful plus. Staff was fantastic , Katie the manager very so so friendly and always checking to make sure everything was ok. Special shout outs to Dervon, Glennford,Tevin,Luis, Andre,Shaq ,Tamara, Nia were the ones that waited on us the most ,went over and above service for us!! Oliver and Hula were great also, just hadn't had to much encounter with them when we were there. Overall everyone was perfect !!! Just loved everyone and miss you all !! Due to Covid and the Volcano, we missed going to Palm Island for 2 years. This was our 5th trip to Palm Island and we were thrilled to be back. Everything was just as good or better from the last time we visited in 2019. Our only disappointment is that our secret little island, is no longer a secret.

We love it here. We have travelled extensively and have never found such an exceptional beach as there is in Palm Island. It is hard to explain how soft the sand is and how clear the water is. In our opinion, this is the best beach in the world.

We always stay in the premium beachfront rooms. We love the outdoor patio, the spacious room, and the location. It is just steps away from the beach.

The food is very good. You just have to be careful, because you will most likely need to go on a diet after visiting. There are always great options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We love the rotating dinner menus. And the desserts - yum!

For cocktail - Johnny makes one of the best Cosmopolitan's I have ever had.

One must thing to do is to take a private trip on the Pink Lady with Captain Keith.

But what sets the resort apart from others is the staff. They are all exceptional: the grounds crew, housekeeping, restaurant staff, bar staff, and management. Everyone knows you by name, they make you feel like part of their family.

We can't wait for trip #6 next year.

There's mini fridge in the room and it's stocked daily with beer, water, sodas, etc.. We always stay in a beachfront room. Take a look at the pictures of the beachfront rooms here on Trip Advisor and also on the Palm Island website. The rooms look exactly as pictured. The beds are comfortable, the room is spotless and the ac works great. You will not be disappointed.
