Henfield was a trip down memory lane for us and staying with Malcom was a great start to revisiting a lot of childhood memories and family history. More personalized and welcoming than a hotel, this B&B is a home away from home, with thoughtful touches, like bedtime sweets on the pillow and assorted toiletries, and a full English breakfast cooked...

Thank you so much for your lovely , warm, review. I quite often get visitors who are visiting old haunts or tracing roots and I enjoy learning about the history of the village and area in this way. Thank you for noticing the details--I try to be as homely and informal as possible.

A quiet location but easy to find and there is parking. Just a few minutes walk from the local pub for an evening meal. The room was quite spacious and reasonably clean. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was very good. There was a very good selection of tea, coffee and biscuits. Good, free wifi. The breakfast was...

This B&B is privately owned and run. Malcolm the host is a helpful, pleasant and charming man that has owned No.1 The Laurels for over twenty years. The bright, tastefully decorated rooms are perfectly adequate for a short stay with either en-suite's or a private bathroom. The hotel is i a quite area just off the main street which meant...

Thank you for your kind and glowing review and for taking the time to write it. I am pleased that you enjoyed your breakfasts and agree with you that vegetarians can sometimes get a poor/boring choice offered to them. Advance notice of specific requirements does help to enable getting in suitable provisions to come up with some more imaginative options...

We stopped at the Laurels B&B for one night to attend a gig at the town hall. Malcolm was very welcoming and cooked a cracking breakfast. The room was reasonably clean with amenities in the room to suit all needs, shower cap, tea and coffee etc. The bed was comfortable with good pillows. The decor was a little dated but...

We stayed for one night whilst attending a friend's wedding and have only good things to say about it. We found Malcolm (the owner) to be the perfect host. So friendly and helpful. From letting us drop our stuff off early and get changed to even dropping us back to the wedding venue to collect our car the following morning....

thank you so much for your lovely review. It is good to have feed-back to know that guests do notice the detail and makes it all worthwhile. It makes my job more pleasant to have smiling, satisfied customers. It is always nice when guests come back so hope to see you again.

Because I was due at Hickstead very early the next morning I booked to stay at No.1 The Laurels, rather than hazard the M25. and not make it. I was charmed by the delightful welcome from Malcolm Harrington, and found the room and my bathroom the equivalent of a top class hotel. He even supplied a deep fluffy bathrobe!!! I...

Have just spent 2 nights at this lovely B & B. Malcolm was a charming host. My room was very comfortable with all I needed and the breakfasts were excellent with choices. I would definitely stay here again.

I stayed here about 7 years ago and as me and my husband were visiting brighton again decided to have another visit. This little place is exactly as we remembered it last time and even stayed in the same room. It is quite spacious. The whole place is kept spotlessly clean and is very comfortable. The tea making things are of...

Thank you very much for your complimentary and comprehensive review. It is always a reward in itself when customers return. I do provide a wind-up torch in each room for use at night , particularly for coming up the drive to the house and also in case of power cuts. It can be a shock coming face to face with...

The B and B was very clean and tidy with a good sized room and en suite with toiletries. There was a variety of complimentary teas, coffee and biscuits in the room and a plentiful breakfast. We would happily return again when we next visit family in the area.

Malcolm's warm and friendly welcome made us feel immediately at home. Nothing was too much trouble and the double room en suite was perfect and had every thing we needed. A really comfortable bed and excellent pillows provided us both with a good nights sleep for all four nights of our stay (think we need to buy ourselves a new...
